The Indian Academy of CT interventions (IACTI) formed in
2010, with the objective of popularizing & teaching the techniques
of CT guided interventions to the residents, junior consultants &
sharing the experiences & learning from the experts in this field.
Since then IACTI has been successfully conducting their annual
meeting in Chennai. The 6th Annual Meet of IACTI will be held
on the 2nd & 3rd Jan 2015, in Chennai. This will be a two day
programme.
Day One will constitute the precise needle placement under
ultrasound as well as under CT guidance.
Hands on practical tutorial in acquiring a good sample of tissue for
biopsy from soft tissues and bones will be a highlight.
Day two, the emphasis will be on Percutaneous image guided
ablative techniques in inoperable tumors. The objective is to
introduce the different energies and technologies available for
tumor ablation and their advantages and disadvantages.
The entire program will be conducted by national & international
experts, specialised in tumor ablation, pain management and
various other CT guided interventions. They will present, teach &
share their experience on various cases.
