Tea and Coffee are served in the Community Room after morning worship every

NEW YEAR’S DAY – ANNUAL CHURCH WALK
Meet at the top of Grammar School Lane (by Calday Grange Grammar School) at
11.30am on Thursday 1st January for a walk which will last around an hour. Please
dress for wet and muddy paths. All are welcome! Any questions, please see Noel
Schorah. METHODIST HOMES QUIZ
Would you like a General Knowledge Quiz to keep the family entertained over the
holiday period? Answers are provided in a sealed envelope. The price is unchanged
at £1. Please see Margaret Green.
LUNCH PLUS
The next Lunch Plus will be held on Wednesday 14th January, at 12 for 12.30pm.
Please let us know if you are able (or unable) to attend by contacting Margaret on

WHIST EVENING
The first Golf Society Whist Evening of the New Year will be held in the Small Hall at
St. Luke’s on Saturday 17th January, commencing at 7.00pm. Please see David Paul
or Noel Johnstone if you would like to join us for a friendly game of cards.
THE BIG QUIZ OF 2014
Are you and your family budding quiz-tians? If so, why not join us as Youthie host
The Big Quiz of 2014 on Saturday 24th January at 6pm? Tickets are £4 adults and £2
under 11s or £10 for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 under 11s). Maximum teams of 6
people. There will be nibbles on the night and all proceeds will go towards the
Youthie weekend away. Please speak to Matt Teale to sign up.
BEACON CHRISTIAN HEALING FELLOWSHIP
Please note that there will be no Beacon Christian Healing Fellowship gatherings at
St. Luke’s until Monday 12th January.

Jesus, our Prince of Peace, we pray that every time a carol is sung,
a Christmas greeting spoken, a nativity play performed, that your
name be honoured and glorified and that hard hearts be melted to
