‡ AFL Queensland Colts Proposal 2015 Introduction AFL Queensland have been reviewing the Colts competition for the last 18 months. This review was necessary due to the enormous challenges participants and clubs are facing sustaining a vibrant and healthy team and league. This presentation aims to clearly articulate two models for the 2015 season. These models have been established based on feedback from the recent Colts survey. AFL Queensland remain committed to working with all clubs and its participants to ensure the long term growth of this critical competition. © Australian Football League 2013. Keep mates together is a high priority. Minimise Travel. Alignment with senior clubs. 9.30am Starts -‐ If AFL Queensland can reduce travel, the 9.30am start is favorable. Subject to the venue, the 4.30pm timeslot is also popular. 5. Want to play against similar standard opposition (47% of matches won by over 60 points, 26 % won by over 100). © Australian Football League 2013. If the two competing teams have 22 players, then the game will revert to 18 a side. Any team who has under 22 players, both teams will play 16 a side. ‡ Colts teams will be aligned to their senior draw where possible. AFL Queensland will make every effort to obtain a 50% ratio. ‡ Team lists of twenty five (25) players must be entered into Sportingpulse by 16th February 2015 ‡ Each competition will have its own finals series. © Australian Football League 2013.
