In the event that Mid-East CTC Adult
Education cancels a class prior to the start
date, then the student will be issued a full
refund of any tuition paid.
Refunds after Start Date
Once a student enrolls in a class, they are
responsible for all books, tuition, and
supplies, unless they cancel before the first
date of class. All students are responsible
for making an appointment at the facility
with the Admissions Coordinator or a Program
Coordinator before enrolling in a class.
If a student has not attended an
orientation BEFORE the start date of the
class, attends the first day of class and then
2
decides to withdrawal, he/she will not be
responsible for any tuition for the one
date, but will be responsible for any books,
supplies, or tools that have been purchased
for them if they cannot be used by another
student or returned.
After the first day, if a student withdrawals
or is dismissed, refunds will be provided as
per the guidelines in the Adult Education
Student Handbook. All refunds are less the
$100 administrative processing fee, plus the
budgeted costs of any supplies, equipment,
or other tangible items not returned to the
school in “as new” condition. Books are
not refundable. Retention of tuition and fees
collected in advance for a student who does
not commence class does not exceed $100.

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
High School Programs
Serving 13 associate school districts
and other private and parochial
schools in Muskingum, Perry,
Guernsey, and Noble Counties, our
Zanesville and Buffalo (Guernsey
County) campuses allow secondary
students to choose from over 30
career and technical programs. These
programs are organized into six
career cluster areas:
• Arts and Communications
• Business and Management

While attending Mid-East, students
learn skills to become competent
in specific program areas,
preparing them to go into a career
immediately upon graduation or
to become scholarship-eligible as
they head for college. These skills
are learned in the lab, shop, or on
the job. Mid-East provides students
with academic classes required for
graduation, and students also earn
high school diplomas from their
home high schools. Applications are
accepted until the start of school.
Contact Student Services if you are
interested in applying. To emphasize
the district’s dedication to strong
28
academics, state-of-the-art facilities
and highly qualified instructors,
Mid-East has articulation agreements
with several two- and four-year
colleges and universities. These
articulation agreements give our
students an edge over traditional
high school students by allowing
them to receive college credits for
coursework completed at Mid-East CTC.
Eight out of ten Mid-East graduates
obtain employment in well-paying
jobs with over 40% going on to
college.
Area sophomores are invited to visit
our campuses in November during
“Sophomore Experience” days.
Beginning in December, students
