WE ARE IN THE SEASON OF ADVENT

Advent is a season comprising four Sundays
before Christmas. Advent is derived from the
Latin adventus, which means ‘coming’.
The season proclaims the coming of the
Christ - whose birth we prepare to celebrate
once again, who comes continually in Word
and Spirit, and whose return in final victory
we anticipate.
Each year, Advent calls the community of
faith to prepare for these comings;
historically, the season was marked by fasts
for preparation. The liturgical colour for this
season is purple, symbolising penitence and
preparation.

Kindly note that as there will be Christmas
lunch after Service on 25 Dec, there will be no
parking space available on Level 3. It will be
used as a lunch venue. Please make
arrangements to park in the vicinity of the

ODMC 2: SIGN UP NOW OPEN!

One Day Membership Conference (ODMC) is
a full day course for persons intending to
be baptised and/or initiated into
Membership in our church.
The core curriculum (6 lessons pertaining to
F.A.I.T.H) will be taught during the day and
participants will be received into our church
membership by the end of the same day at
the Baptism & Membership Service. At the
first ODMC, 164 new members experienced
the goodness of this simplified process, what
about you?
Details:
ODMC 2 will be held on 28 Feb 2015
(Briefing & rehearsal on 7 Feb 2015) for a
minimum of 50 participants and a maximum
of 100 participants. Spaces are limited!

Rev John Benedict Foo and Rev Raymond
Fong will join the Faith family in 2015. We will
be officially welcoming them on the first
Sunday of the year, 4 Jan, at our One
Family Holy Communion Dedication
Service.
During this service, all Faith worshippers who
are serving in different capacities will be
dedicated together as a family. Do note that
there will be no Sun Jam programme on 4
Jan. Lunch will be provided after the
Service.

MISSIONS MEMBER CARE SEMINAR
What
is
Missions
Member

Care?
As a Faith member, other than praying,
what else can I do for our IM workers and
their ministries?
We have invited a Missions Care practitioner,
Ms Brenda Bosch to help us answer these
questions and to understand how we can
more meaningfully care and support our IM
workers and their ministries. Brenda, a South
African, has spent 26 years in missions
(including 21 years in Missions
Member Care). She often travels from Africa
to Asia to train others about missions care.
Mr & Mrs Daniel Quah Han Sai on the demise
of his sister the late Ms Lena Quah Yew Ai
who passed away on 13 December 2014.
