CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEUs)
ACA has partnered with Sam Houston State University to offer continuing education units (CEUs) at our conferences. CEUs help employees
earn professional recognition by completing educational and training programs. Participants who register for the program will earn 1.0 CEU
from Sam Houston State University for every 10 hours of program activities that they attend. After the conference, ACA will send participants
their certificates. A $30 additional CEU registration fee is required to participate in this program. All workshops are accepted for CEU credit.

need to have previously qualified — at least 30 days before the examination date — by submitting a completed
Application for Certification (obtainable either online — www.aca.org — or by sending a request for certification

ACA is an approved continuing education (CE) provider through the Florida Board of Nursing for continuing education contact hours for nurses.
(CE Provider # 50-8793) Correctional nurses can earn (1) CE contact hours for each (1) hour workshop they attend. A $30 additional CE registration fee is required to participate in this program.

This course is an overview of concepts and maneuvers that emphasize officer safety,
personal protection, de-escalation methods, and defensive tactics designed to
increase an officers ability to survive various attacks from multiple ranges and

sessions, events and exhibit hall. A waterfront, multi-purpose, fabulous complex, the center is also home to

views of the scenic harbor and downtown skyline. A pedestrian promenade links hotels, shops, restaurants
and attractions with the Pacific Ocean. Parking is $10 per car, per entry to any of the center’s lots. The center
entrance closest to ACA Exhibit Halls A and B is on Pine Avenue.

• Metro Link: Take the Metro Blue Line, L.A.’s first light rail transit system that runs from 7th Street in
