It is necessary for parents to attend an instructional session on baptism
prior to celebration of the sacrament for their first child. Contact the
pastor to make an appointment.

The Haiti Mission Team met Dec. 11th and

Rediscover Catholicism begins Jan. 8
A new monthly study of the bestselling book,
“Rediscover Catholicism,” by Matthew Kelly, will begin
Jan. 8, 2015. This book is quickly becoming the most
read Catholic book of our times. The classes will take
place on the second Thursday of each month at Mount
Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center. The sessions begin at 10:30 a.m. and end after lunch is served

YOUTH 2000 is responding to the call of Pope John Paul
II to enable young people to live and proclaim the Gospel.
You are invited to a YOUTH 2000 Retreat on March 1315, 2015 at Brescia University Campus Center in Owensboro, KY. You will have the opportunity to gather with
other young people your age for prayer, adoration, singing
and learning about our Catholic faith. This retreat is being
sponsored by the Diocesan Offices of Youth Ministry and
Faith Formation and the Diocesan Marian Shrine Committee. Youth should register through a Parish, School or

On Friday, December 5th the Diocese of Owensboro celebrated Bishop John J. McRaith’s 80th
birthday.
In honor of Bishop John’s dedication and servant
style leadership to the Diocese for 27 years,
Bishop Medley found it fitting to honor him on his
80th birthday with the re-naming of the Catholic
Pastoral Center to the McRaith Catholic Center.
Effective immediately, the CPC will be known as
the McRaith Catholic Center.
