Personal Grooming
Personal and oral hygiene are vital to good grooming
Extreme/offensive odors are not acceptable
Hair must be neatly cut and clean
Hair below shoulders may need to be restrained to avoid
getting in the way
Dreadlocks are not allowed and cannot by covered with clothing, hats, scarves, or other headgear
Uniforms
Pick up your uniform from Gear Up!
Damaged/Dirty uniforms may be exchanged as
necessary
Uniforms must only be worn on the mountain
while on duty
Employees are responsible for uniforms once
issued
Pick up a Copper issued winter hat or wear one
that meets the hat guidelines stated in the
handbook
Midriffs should be covered at all times
Pants should be worn appropriately around the
waist
Hoodies may not be worn with uniform unless
your department has RLT approval
Facial Hair
Face must be clean shaven if you choose not to
wear facial hair
Facial hair must be neatly groomed/trimmed
Facial hair must be fully grown in at the time of
hire or grown completely while on leave
Beards, mustaches, soul patches, goatees must
be consistent length and no more than 1 inch
long
Outrageous facial hair is not permitted
Facial hair must not extend down the neck










Nametags
Nametags must be worn when on duty
Nametags must be worn on the outermost
layer of the uniform or personal attire
Passions that are offensive and/or controversial are not permitted
Tattoos
Visible tattoos may not be offensive and/or
controversial
Visible tattoos above the shoulders are not
permitted
See HR or handbook for examples of unacceptable tattoos
Piercing
Earlobe stretching is permitted – holes must
be filled with a plug/tunnel and must be no
bigger than 10mm
2 small facial piercings are permitted –
limited to the nostril and eyebrow only
Chains connecting piercings are not
permitted
Tongue piercings may not be larger than
5mm and should not effect ability to
communicate clearly
