Administrative Rules of
Montana, the Montana
Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)
hereby gives notice of a
30 day public comment
period on its proposal to
delist the West Second
Street Havre Facility (Facility) in Browning,
Montana, from the Comprehensive Environmental
Cleanup and Responsibility Act (CECRA) Priority
Legals
List. DEQ’s Petroleum
Tank Cleanup Section
has certified it will assume
jurisdiction of the Facility,
which it calls the Former
Northern Tire site, and will
ensure all releases and
threatened releases of
all hazardous or deleterious substances at the
Facility are addressed.
Therefore, DEQ proposes
to remove the Facility
from the CECRA Priority
List. The public comment
period on this proposed
delisting will begin on
December 29, 2014, and
written comments must be
received in the DEQ office
by midnight on January
27, 2015. Copies of siterelated documents are
available at the DEQ State
Superfund Unit
office located at 1401 East
Lockey in Helena. DEQ
will hold a public meeting
upon written request to
DEQ on or before January
27, 2015, by 10 or more
persons, a group of 10
or more persons, or by
a local governing body
of a city, town, or county.
