TRANSIT SERVICE
The Commuter & UMHS Routes (Med Express,
Wall St.-NIB, Wall St. Express & North-East
Shuttle) will run as normally scheduled
through the end of the service day on Tues.
Dec. 23, 2014. With one exception, they will
return to their regular schedules on Mon. Jan. 5.
North-East Shuttle will resume on Fri. Jan. 2.
See next section re: Wall St. Express schedule.
Special parking with bus service
The arrangement in 2012 & 2013 with parking
at the Catherine, Ann & Glen structures served
by the “Parking Loop” buses is being
changed/improved this year.
On Dec. 24, 26, 29-31 & Jan. 2, the Wall St.
Express bus route will serve the Wall St. Parking
Structure to facilitate FREE PARKING in the Wall
St. Parking Structure. This route will operate
starting at 6:15 am & will run until 6:00 pm.
Buses will run every 7-8 mins. until 7:30 am,
then every 15 mins. until 3:30 pm, when the
7-8-min. service will resume until 6:00 pm from
both ends of the route. Map is on the reverse
side of this brochure; map & timetables are at
pts.umich.edu.
There will be NO U-M BUS SERVICE on Dec.
25 & Jan. 1.
Regular Glazier Way lot, Fuller Rd. lots & Kipke
Dr. lots parkers are encouraged to take
advantage of FREE PARKING in the Wall St.
Parking Structure, because there will be no
Commuter or Med Express bus service at
Glazier Way, Fuller Rd. & Kipke Dr. Dec. 24
through Jan. 4.

Winter Break Northwood service will operate
every 40 mins. starting from CCTC (Ruthven) at
7:35 am & from Northwood V at 7:55 am until
12:15 am from CCTC (Ruthven) & until 12:35 am
from Northwood V. Service will end on Dec. 24,
with the 6:15 pm trip from CCTC & with the 6:35
pm trip from Northwood V.
PERMIT PARKING
From 5:00 pm Tues. Dec. 23 until 6:00 am Mon.,
Jan.5, parking permits & meter fees will not be
required in U-M parking lots & structures except
for P1 (Cancer Center), P3 (Taubman South),
P4 (Mott) & P5 (CVC) structures, which will
maintain regular operations throughout the
Holidays. Special signed spaces (Gold, Service
Vehicle, Business Vehicle, Commercial Vehicle &
Accessible/Handicap) will require the
appropriate permit for those spaces at all times.
This does not apply to City of Ann Arbor
structures or meters.
Since there is no evening or weekend hospital
bus service, Medical Center afternoon or
night shift staff, who cannot be accommodated by the special Wall St. Express bus service,
will be allowed to park at the Taubman North
(P2) Parking Structure during the holiday
break (Dec. 24 – Jan. 4). Staff must exit via a
patient/visitor lane & show their Yellow or
Orange Permit to the Parking Attendant for a
free exit.
PATIENT/VISITOR PARKING
Patient & visitor parking at P1 (Cancer Center), P2
(Taubman North), P4 (Mott) & P5 (CVC) Parking
Structures will continue throughout the holiday
season, except on Dec. 25 & Jan. 1, when visitor
parking will be free.
Patient & visitor parking at the Fletcher St. &
Palmer Dr. Parking Structures will be free
throughout the holiday season (Dec. 23 – Jan. 4)
by parking in staff areas of both those structures.
