be unconcerned. His confidence,
the security he enjoyed, when
facing the uncertainties of life and
the certainty of death was in the
Lord Himself.
David's passion was to live in
the Lord's house and to behold
His beauty. Living in the Lord's
house means much more than
being an occasional visitor. It
implies being a resident now and
in eternity. To behold His beauty
means to enjoy God's goodness
and blessings.

In an insurance policy the companies are
very careful not to use the word, Assurance,
unless that is what the policy calls for. The
word, Assurance, is a positive word. No maybe
sos! It will be! Now the word, Insurance,
means it will be done under certain
circumstances. Maybe-maybe not! The
Allstate company says that we are in good hands
with Allstate, but of course they would say that,
because they want you to buy their insurance.
No company sells assurance, because they cant
guarantee total assurance. So, the fact of the
matter is that we are in better hands with the
Lord God almighty, simple because He gives the
assurance. Blessed assurance! Not blessed
insurance. The blind song writer, Fanny Crosby,
under the anointing of the Holy Ghost she wrote
the beloved song, Blessed Assurance. Every
time I sing it that song makes the hair rise on the
back of my head. It makes me simply want
to shout. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh
what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of
salvation, purchase of God, born of the spirit,
washed in His blood! Fanny Crosby was
physically blind; not spiritually blind. She could
see spiritually to the throne of God and oh she
had the blessed positive assurance. Not the
insurance of maybe so, but the guarantee from
God.
You see we have the assurance that if we
are born again and if we live for the Lord, then
we can live forever eternally in Heaven.
Assurance is to live! With life insurance you
have got to die to get it. So, you wont get it now
how! You benefactors will get it and fight over
it and then throw it away. Oh I know, after they
put you away in a fine box. Well they are just
putting away the remains. The real you has gone
on and if you have served the Lord and have not
been one that practiced sin. If you repented and
lived a holy life and I dont mean perfect, then
you have the assurance of a home in heaven. A
new body and a mansion to boot. Talk about
insurance. That aint nothing compared to the
assurance the good Lord gives us. Can you say
amen?
