MICHAEL OLA NEW YEAR RESOLUTION 2015 The beginning of the new year is always a time for us to do a quick inventory on ourselves and to all of us: BE ON TIME TO MASS. We are all creatures of habit and it is hard to break old habits. Being late for mass can be a habit. We leave home at the last minute and never allow for things that can go wrong: a child forgetting his crayons, baby forgetting her blanket, someone parked behind you in the driveway, the parking lot being full because of an event in the hall or gym. May I suggest that you leave home at least ten minutes earlier than usual each Sunday. Many times the priest starts mass with just a handful present. Most people miss the penitential rite of the mass and many are still coming in and getting themselves organized during the very important readings from scripture. Your presence on time will encourage the celebrant, the musicians, and all the ministers to be ready as the clock strikes. We can all help each other. Let this be the OLA NEW YEAR RESOLUTION 2015. NEW YEAR’S DAY 2015 FEAST OF THE SOLEMNITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY New Year’s Day is a Holy Day of Obligation and the following are the Mass times: Wednesday, December 31st (Vigil Mass) 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 1st, 2015 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. 11:30 a.m. at Marian Convent OLA HOLIDAY ALUMNI MASS and REUNION Calling all OLA Alumni.
