SCHOOL SUBSIDY COLLECTION
Please note that each month our parish is required to
make a subsidy payment to the school for $3,336.
The amount collected in our monthly second
collection for the school is used to offset this
monthly payment. It is not given directly to the
school.
POOR & NEEDY FUND COLLECTION
A few years ago, a parishioner gave us a donation to
be used specifically for the poor & needy. A separate
account was established and over the years donations
were made from these funds to various charitable
organizations and individuals who were in desperate
need. Currently there is less than $1,000 remaining
in the account. There will be a second collection next
weekend to replenish the funds so we can continue
to help those who need it most.
VETERANS DAY
Tuesday, November 11th, is Veterans Day.
Please remember to pray for our veterans
and their families and to thank those who
serve our country for their sacrifices. The
Commission on Veterans Patriotic Events
will be holding a Veterans Day Service on Tuesday,
November 11th at 11AM in Agawam Park.
SANCTUARY FLOWERS
The flowers decorating our Sanctuary this weekend

John Paul II.

to distant family or friends, include the bread. This
is a sign of love, friendship, and unity. There is no
charge as this is our gift to you, but it would be
greatly appreciated if you can please make a
donation to the organization, Polish Gift of Life, Inc.
P.O. BOX 273, Albertson, NY 11507. This
organization helps Polish children in need,

Mc-GANN MERCY THEATRE COMPANY
On November 20th - 22nd, the members of the
award winning McGann-Mercy Theatre Company
will perform their version of Ken Ludwig’s
situational comedy, "Moon Over Buffalo". Set in the
1950’s, this comedy revolves around two aging
actors working in a repertory theatre in Buffalo, New
York, striving for their “big shot” at fame, who learn
that Frank Capra would be coming to see their
matinee and might cast them in one of his
films. Apparently, the universe conspires against
them, and anything that could go wrong or awry
does. Running from Thursday, November
20th through Saturday, November 22nd in the school
auditorium, the show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are
$10 per person and are sold at the door.
For more information on Moon Over Buffalo, call
631.727.5900 ext. 310. Bishop McGann-Mercy HS
is located at 1225 Ostrander Avenue in Riverhead.
MEMORIAL BRICKS
A memorial brick is a great gift for a wedding, birth,
living or deceased memorial and more. Many
visitors and neighbors have commented about how
nice it looks having all of our memorial bricks
around the Blessed Mother. A memorial brick costs
$100 dollars. Forms are available in the vestibule of
the church.

Just a reminder that in the event of poor weather or
if you are sick and do not attend mass, please submit
your weekly envelope the following week, or send it
to the rectory, since we need to pay our bills. We
also ask you lucky snowbirds to remember that your
parish is alive and active all year round so please
don’t forget about us when you are gone. Keeping up
a weekly pattern of support will keep our parish
financially healthy. Enjoy your time away and
remember you can read our weekly bulletins at
www.rc.net/rockvillecentre/olpsouthampton/

THANK OUR SUPPORTERS
Our bulletin is supported through the
generosity of the advertisers and
most are members of our local
community. We urge you to support
our advertisers with your patronage. Tell the
business owner that you appreciate their support of
our parish through their advertising in the bulletin.
This is one small way we can work within our own
community to weather these challenging times.

PRAYER FOR ALL MILITARY PERSONNEL
 O God, kindly watch over those
exposed to the dangers of military life.
Give them strong faith that nothing may
ever lead them to deny it or fear to
practice it. Fortify them by your grace
against the contagion of bad example,
so that preserved from vice and serving you
faithfully, they may be ready to meet death if it
should come.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, inspire them with
sorrow for sin and grant them pardon. Mary, our
Mother, be with them in battle, and should they be
called upon to make the supreme sacrifice, obtain for
them the grace to die in the love of your Divine Son.
St. Joseph, pray for them. Amen.
