developed a system that takes into account children’s needs

With the FLEXA system, your child’s room can follow his or her
development. The centrepiece is the bed, which is specially
designed to provide children with the best possible conditions
for a good night’s sleep as they grow.
During the day, the FLEXA bed can easily be transformed into
a playground or a cosy hideaway. All kinds of accessories
and add-ons are available to help extend the bed and convert
it into a setting that provides inspiration for play – a knight’s
castle or a princess’ palace, for example – or a place to do
homework or chat with friends.

FLEXA has developed a bed that can grow
and develop in step with your child.
Children grow, and they develop new interests and needs throughout childhood. The FLEXA system
makes it possible to extend your child’s bed constantly, adding tunnels, towers and slides, extending
the sleeping area and attaching desks, cupboards and shelf units. The system also features textiles
to suit your child’s age, gender and personality.
This makes the FLEXA bed much more than just a bed. It is actually the centrepiece of an excellent

When trees are felled, it is important
to show consideration for the woods
themselves as well as the plants and
animals that live there.
The wood used to make FLEXA furniture
is collected from the northern latitudes,
where trees grow slowly on account of the
cold. It is a drawn-out process, but one
that generates wood with an excellent
fibre structure and greater mass (the “filler”
between the rings) and provides us with
top quality wood that contains few knots.

FLEXA has close and trusting working
relationships with the suppliers who deliver
the wood used to make FLEXA furniture.
FLEXA furniture is made of wood treated
with eco-friendly UV varnish, which is
free of formaldehyde, solvents and
toxic colorants. The varnish is very
hard-wearing and makes our
furniture elegant, robust and
more resistant to signs of
wear and tear. At the same
time, we place the greatest
emphasis on ensuring
that our furniture is not
hazardous – to children or
their surroundings.
All the residual products from the
preparation process are used. In the
production of FLEXA furniture, the wood is
dried, planed and rounded to become the
finished high-quality material.
