(Safety) Battery compartment The battery compartment can be found on the back of the device. Note For safety reasons, the battery compartment lid can only be opened with a tool. The screw rotation direction is marked with an arrow on the device. Press a screwdriver into the opening marked with the screwdriver symbol and simultaneously disengage screw and lid from the battery compartment. 11 10 Check battery polarity (+ and –) before inserting batteries. See the illustration on the inside of the battery compartment lid for correct polarity. Warning Incorrectly inserting the batteries could cause damage to the device. 12 After correctly inserting batteries, replace the battery compartment lid by sliding it onto the device again. We recommend the use of cassettes with a 2 x 30 minute playing time. Cassette tapes with longer playing times are made of thinner material, which effect performance noticeably. These tapes often tend to get tangled up in the driving mechanics. This cassette player operates with most commercially available recorded and unrecorded tapes. During playback your child can use the microphone to sing along to the music being played.
