The Commissioning and Health Partnerships Service commission
quality adult social care services that meet people and their carers'
needs. The Service is responsible for strategic planning, joint
commissioning, contract management, business development and
performance monitoring as well as a number of specialist support
functions.
The Business and Performance Unit is responsible for providing a
high level of statistical and analytical information to support the
business and performance information needs of both the
Commissioning and Health Partnerships Service and the Wellbeing
and Integration Service. The role also involves ensuring that the
Government's statutory reporting requirements are met. The
provision of accurate and timely management information enables
the Director, Assistant Directors, Senior Managers and Operational
Managers to make informed decisions on operational activities and
the commissioning and planning of future services.
Working closely with managers and teams across the Service to
understand their requirements you will support the development of
both existing and new databases to ensure that information held,
and extracted, is accurate. You will interrogate data systems to
identify trends and variances, providing analysis to managers
through regular and ad hoc reports to assist in service planning. In
addition you will constantly monitor and evaluate systems and
information produced in terms of accuracy and usefulness and
whether information appropriately supports management
information processes.
Fixed Term/Secondment for up to 11months to cover a
secondment.
You will work shifts on a 7 day rota system including weekends
and Public Holidays. The earliest start will be 6.30am and the
latest finish will be 10.00pm.
You will support and assist adults with a Learning Disability and
mental health conditions through development and control of
practical living skills including preparing meals, doing laundry,
as well as maintaining their personal hygiene and developing
their understanding of social interaction and relationships.
It is essential that you have a high level of understanding of
Adult Social Care. You must be able to demonstrate a
commitment to personal and professional training and
development and possess a basic awareness of both health
and safety issues and food hygiene.

Kirklees’ Adult Drug Service carrying a caseload of
individuals with substance misuse problems. As a first
point of contact for service users, you will respond by
engaging adults and communities affected by substance
misuse into open access services. You will use evidencebased psychosocial and other therapeutic interventions
with service users, in both one-to-one and group settings,
to support them on their recovery journey. Your main
tasks will involve signposting, brief interventions,
assessment, recovery planning, undertaking psychosocial
interventions and key working.
You must be a highly motivated, organised person with
the ability to establish a good rapport with services users
and other professionals and to adapt within a constantly
changing environment. You must have significant
experience of working supporting adults in a social care
and/or criminal justice setting along with an awareness of
current models of interventions with drug users.

Salary effective from 1 January 2015
Salary will be based on working 18 hours per week. Set working days
will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings (5pm until 10:30pm) and
alternate Sundays (10:15am until 4:45pm). Any remaining hours are to
be worked on a flexible basis as agreed with the Development
Manager.

As an Assistant Duty Manager you will assist the Development
Manager in the daily operation of the Sports Centre. You will have
responsibility for the coordination of staff and allocation of work to the
Sports Attendants based at the Sports Centre. You will get support and
line management from the Development Manager. You will be based in
one location but may occasionally be required to work in other locations
dependent upon the needs of the service.
Your main duties will be:
Responsibility for the coordination of staff including allocation of
work to the Sports Attendants.
Assisting the Development Manager in monitoring performance of
the Attendants.
Assuming responsibility for the security of the building.
Assisting the Development Manager in preparation of marketing
material to promote the Centre.
Dealing with operational customer complaints and compliments,
Ensuring a friendly and efficient Reception Service is provided to
visitors.
Responsibility for service users, particularly members of the
public.
General clerical and administrative duties, as required by the
Development Manager.
Providing basic statistics on daily and weekly service usage by
customers.
Operation of the computerised till to receive payment for Centre
facilities.
Arranging and supervising the erection, movement and
maintenance of Centre equipment.

The IT service is accountable for the full end to end provision of technology
solutions for Kirklees Council.
Senior Officers in IT work to generic job descriptions and are expected to
work flexibly within the service. Currently we are looking for a Senior Officer
to initially be aligned to the Technical Infrastructure context. Please refer to
the context sheet for more information.
As a Senior Officer you will be expected to hold a relevant degree level
qualification or equivalent experience; you will be able to demonstrate all
round IT experience gained in a medium to large complex environment and
a breadth of specialist knowledge. You should be familiar with appropriate IT
industry best practice principles such as those used in ITIL or PRINCE2.
You will be adaptable and flexible in how you work, including the hours and
locations, and have the ability to quickly learn new IT professional skills and
technologies. You can be required to participate in a standby scheme. You
will be required to provide advice, guidance and direction at both a technical
and business level to colleagues at all levels within the Council around
relevant technologies, policies or procedures. You will be expected to
analyse and understand required business outcomes and translate these
into appropriate projects or continual improvement plans.
In line with the IT Workforce Development plan we have identified
requirements to increase the following technical specialisms within IT and
applicants should take this into consideration as appropriate:
Infrastructure architecture design, development and maintenance.
Development of and adherence to technical strategies and
architecture policies.
Emerging technology research.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
Recent specialist knowledge of working with IP networks, IP telephony
or server technologies.
A good understanding of IT security facilities including authentication,
Chip and Pin, encryption, secure email and data transfer, virus and
spam blocking and directory services.

You will work within the Strategic Investment Group in
Investment and Regeneration in the Place Directorate. The
purpose of this job is to lead on projects to deliver
environmental projects that deliver the Council's Economic and
Joint Health and Well Being Strategies' Objectives.
You will lead, project manage and/or co-ordinate large
environmental projects, policies and grant programmes with key
partners, Council services and other organisations and
agencies. The key areas of work include: tackling Climate
Change (reductions in greenhouse gases); the Green
Infrastructure; Biodiversity; Environmental Partnership Projects;
Sustainability; Environmental Policy and Strategy;
Environmental Management Systems ; large scale low carbon
housing retrofit projects: awareness raising campaigns; and
other environmental objectives.
Fixed Term/Secondment up to 31 March 2016 to cover

The Licensing team is part of our Enforcement section which
has powers to investigate and prosecute individuals and
businesses where necessary.
You will be part of a small team providing business and
administrative support to a team of Enforcement staff. You will
be based in one location but may have to travel to attend
meetings and provide admin support across Place.
Main duties:
Data processing (input and retrieval), including service
based IT systems.

As this job is generic your work will incorporate a selection of
the following duties and responsibilities:
Managing and developing projects (initiating ideas, setting
up and monitoring budgets, project plans, timetables,
contractual agreements, co-ordination of other officers as
required, monitoring, governance and financial and
management reporting etc).
Identifying and maximising funding opportunities and
leading on developing and winning funding bids for both
internal and external funding.
Identifying opportunities to develop partnerships with other
organisations and agencies and maintaining and
developing such relationships in conjunction with relevant
services to further the achievement of the Council's
energy, green infrastructure, sustainability and other
environmental objectives.
You will be involved with helping to secure and manage
European, Government, Lottery or other major grant schemes
that match our objectives as well as experience of successfully
leading complex projects and multi-agency partner programmes
of work.
It is essential that you have good IT skills and that you are
familiar with a variety of computer packages in particular
Microsoft Office and that you are able to demonstrate business
and administration skills to NVQ Level 3.
If you are a substantive employee of the Council with over 6
months continuous service and you have successfully
completed your probation period your application for this job will
