• Allpillmedication–withorwithoutchametz–thatoneswallowsispermitted.
• RavSchwartz,shlit”a,hasruledthat,asarule,vitaminsdonotqualifyasmedicationsandareinstead
treatedasfoodsupplements,whichrequirehashgachahforPassoverandthroughouttheyear.Ifadoctor
prescribesaspecificvitaminwhichdoesnothavePassoversupervision,pleasereviewyourspecific
situationwithyourdoctorandRabbi.
• Liquidandchewablemedicationsthatmaycontainchametzshouldonlybeusedunderthedirectionof
adoctorandRabbi,whowilljudgetheseverityoftheillness,thelikelihoodthatthemedicinecontains
chametz,andthepossibilityofsubstitutingaswallowablepill.Important: Do not discontinue use of
