Continued co-operation be- tween the two countries was in line with the will of the two countries’ peoples and continuation of the practice of their fathers and forefathers who lived by co-operation, consultation and solidarity, he said. Relations between the two countries and their peoples have witnessed progress and harmony as a result of the common will to serve bilateral interests and strengthen the role of the two countries at regional and international levels. The omani minister expressed his thanks for the hospitality that he and his delegation received during their visit, affirming the historical and deep-rooted relations between the two countries and their peoples. Following consultations, minutes of the meeting were agreed on and signed. It contained steps taken by the committee to further boost bilateral ties, most important of which were the establishment of a Bahraini-omani investment company and a call to the Joint Bahraini and omani Business Council to discuss its establish- ment and implementation process, particularly in the fields of food security, financial investment and insurance. Both ministries will follow up the progress of work by the joint committee every six months.
