THE SINGING OF THE WORD
Prelude
Jerry & Marcia Servatius
(to be read in unison)
God of hope, peace, joy and love, we give you thanks on this night for
coming to be among us! The birth of this baby at Bethlehem is your
answer to our alienation; the incarnation of the divine is your
response to our unrest, our brokenness, our pain. Tonight we
celebrate Hope, we celebrate Peace, we share your Joy and are filled
with your Love. Thank you for sending your son to be our
Emmanuel! Amen.

Welcome To Our Christmas Eve Worship Service
The invitation to receive the Lord’s Supper is extended by Christ
the Lord of the Church to all who believe in Him. On this special
night you are invited to come forward in quiet and reverence to
receive the bread and the cup. Our getting up and moving
symbolizes our movement toward God just as God in Christ has
moved toward us. If you are unable to come to the front or choose
not to, we will gratefully serve you where you are seated.
Our Christmas Eve Offering
The offering received tonight will be for our Deacon’s Fund. These
monies are used throughout the year for people needing assistance.
Silent Night
“Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, all is bright ‘round yon
virgin, mother and child; holy infant, so tender and mild, sleep in
heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.”
“Silent, night! Holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight, glories
stream from heaven afar, heavenly hosts sing alleluia; Christ, the
Savior, is born! Christ, the Savior, is born!”
“Silent night! Holy night! Son of God, love’s pure light, radiant
beams from thy holy face, with the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus,
Lord, at thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.”
