SECOND CIRCULAR
Dear Colleagues,
We have a pleasure to send you second announcement of the EWAC-EUCARPIA
Cereals Section International Conference, which will be held in Lublin on 24th to 29th May
2015. We would like to thank all people who have responded to 1st circular and sent us filled
pre-registration form.
In this second announcement we wish to give you details about further steps of
registration, payment, accommodation reservation and travelling to Lublin. Moreover, the
instruction and form for abstract submission is provided. We would also like to present you a
preliminary Conference Program. The final version will be send to you in the 3rd
announcement.
Thank you once again for the interest in our conference. We will be pleased to host
you in Lublin next year!

For final registration for, please download Registration Form, fill, sign in and send via
e-mail: [email protected]. Please remember that we need a registration form with
your signature!
Deadline for final registration and payment is 28th February 2015.
Registration fee
The conference registration fee is 550 € and includes: transfer from/to Lublin airport or
railway station, admission to all sessions and participation in all conference events, full
board (lunches, dinners, coffee breaks), conference materials, one copy of the Proceedings.
The registration fee does not include hotel accommodation costs and any insurance of
conference participants.
Cancellation
Cancellation of registration must be send in writing. The cost of cancellation before 30th April
2015 amounts to 50 € processing fee. After this date no refund will be possible.
Invitation letter
If you need invitation letter for conference, please let us know via e-mail. We kindly inform
that organizers do not provide any financial support to participants.

The payment of conference fee should be made in EUR via bank transfer using the following

Venue and Accommodation
The conference venue and accommodation place will be the Mercure Lublin Centrum

Conference participants have to book the hotel themselves!
To book the hotel, please fill in Hotel Reservation Form and send it directly to the
hotel by e-mail: [email protected] with CC to [email protected]. Once you have
sent your reservation, you will receive information from the hotel with confirmation and
payment instruction. Only reservation by means of this form guarantee reduced room price!
The room price (including breakfast) for conference participants are:
55 €/day – single room
63 €/day – double room
If you would like to extend your stay in Lublin, please contact the hotel directly.
Travel
Travelling by plane
If you would like to travel by plane, the nearest airport is regional Lublin Airport (LUZ)
(http://www.airport.lublin.pl/en/) localized 15 km from the hotel. Transfer from airport to
conference venue will be provided by organizers.
The biggest airport in Poland – Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) (http://www.lotniskochopina.pl/en/passenger?cl=en&set_language=en) is localized about 180 km from Lublin
and you can travel further by plane, train or car (there are car rental services). Time of train
and car trip from Warsaw to Lublin is about 150 - 180 minutes.

Travelling by train
Lublin is easily accessible by train from any place in Poland. We advise you to use
Polish State Railways trip planner (http://rozklad-pkp.pl/en) to search connections.
Organizers will provide transfer from Main Railway Station in Lublin to Mercure Hotel. The
meeting point will be localized in the station hall and signed with EWAC logo.
Travelling by car
For participants who decide to travel by car we provide the full address and GPS data
of the Mercure Hotel below:

Car park is localized next to the hotel. The price of the hotel room does not include car park
fee (8 €/day).

Accompanying persons
The registration fee for accompanying person is 380 € and includes participation in all
conference excursions and events.
Abstract submission
The presentations for conference may cover all aspects of cereal stocks utilization for
genetic studies. To select the preferred form of your presentation and submit an abstract
please fill in the Abstract Submission Form and send it directly to PD Dr. Andreas Börner,
e-mail: [email protected] with CC to Conference Office ([email protected]).
The max. length of abstract is 250 words. Deadline for abstract submission is 28th February
2015. All abstracts will be published in Book of Abstracts. The Organising Committee will
make the final decision on the form of presentation.
