NEW BUSINESS CONNECT SHARER PLANS
On 12th November, EE Launched some new Connect Sharer
Plans:•

Increase in the charges for the Data Sharers
They also increased their commissions on the 12 month
plans and added some new data add ons for 1GB and 2GB
of shared data.
Please note that you will no longer be able to connect the
original ‘Connect’ tariffs from 1st December.
ESCAPE TO VENICE INCENTIVE - LAST MONTH
Connect EE Small Business this quarter and win the chance

Q:How long does an upgrade take to process?
Q:Do I need third party access on my account?
The bill analyser tool is now ready to be used. It is ideal for
customers with 5 or more devices and allows customers to
create and manage billing usage reports suited to their own
requirements. More details on this service can be found on
EE’s partner portal.
Please note that prior to registering for the service online,
users must have Bill Analyser activated on their EE account.
To undertake this, please contact our Connections Team and
we can contact BPS to get this activated.
A: Once your upgrade request ticket has been submitted
on our Partner Portal we will action within 4 hours. if it’s
five users or less we will process on the same day. If it’s
more than five we must send to the network and they will
process within 24 – 48 hours providing that the numbers
upgrading aren’t part of a shared group, have any buy out
fees or the term needs to be rolled over. If buyout fees or
roll over terms apply we will require you to provide us more
information. If connecting with a DA reference, this will
also need to be sent over to the network.
A: Yes we advise you request this at point of connection.
New Orange to EE Migration Process
EE are delighted to announce a significant improvement to
the way in which their existing Orange customers can join EE.
Orange customers can now migrate to EE in a matter of hours,
a huge improvement from the current time of this process.
You are not required to do anything different. Simply send us
the EE migration opportunities and your customers can be up
and running in hours. This new trial process excludes the need
to disband the Orange talkshare. Please let us know how you
would like us to process your upgrade and if you want to trial
the new process then please advise your port date.
Please note that the normal migration process applies and no
credit check is needed.
EE Discount Approval’s
New EE Business Apps
EE have launched a range of Business Apps for your
customers. Building on the successful launch of 4G, EE are
releasing a portfolio of handpicked business apps designed
to help businesses do more, save time and engage further
with their customers. Please contact your Airtime Account
Manager for further details.
Please note that the approved DA MUST match the
connection you are putting through. If you have to make
changes to a connection which mean it will differ from the
DA then this must be approved by the DA team. If you
connect you customer without revising the DA then EE have
the right to refuse the DA payment. Please make sure that
all DA References are clear on the Connection Template.
Terms & conditions
NEW: Wi-Fi calling exclusive on EE
Apple have announced that the new iPhones will be
compatible with Wi-Fi calling, a new service coming soon on
EE. Wi-Fi Calling makes phone calls possible in places where
there isn’t a mobile signal and doesn’t need a separate app.
Calls can be made and received through the phone’s normal
dialler, just as if you were connected to the mobile network.
The service will soon be available on a range of the latest
smartphones on 4GEE Small Business. For more details,
please visit EE’s partner portal.

Q:Does the customer need to do anything to
complete an upgrade on their handset?
A: For an upgrade onto EE small business from Orange,
it will complete as soon as the new SIM is placed into
the handset. For T-Mobile the customer will need to place
their new SIM into handset and text switch to 3333 for
the upgrade to complete, or they can choose for it to go
through without texting switch if they do not want SIM
delay just by asking us.
Q: What documents do we need to provide you with
when processing a credit check on EE, Orange or
T-Mobile?
A: For EE, T-Mobile and Orange we need 2 business proofs
for a limited company or 1 business, 2 personal for sole
traders.
Q:Can I appeal if a credit check is declined, if so
who can I appeal to?
A: Yes you would need to email the network. If it’s
a sole trader or partnership up to 3 connections the
email address is: [email protected] Or limited
and sole trader/partnership (over 3) you need to email:
[email protected]. You need to provide the
agreement number and company name you are appealing.
Q: What’s the maximum SIM delay I can request on
upgrades for both Orange and T-Mobile?
A: There are no SIM delays on T-Mobile and EE Small
Business, however Orange and EE corporate can have up
to a 6 day SIM delay. Also if you request a 1 day SIM delay
they will always be done on the following day between 7-9
pm.
Otherwise you will not be able to manage your customer’s
account effectively.
Q:My customer is having signal issues, what
should I do?
A: The customer should first liaise with Business Customer
services to report the fault and get a diagnostics check
carried out on the handsets. EE Business Customer
Services should be able to advise your customer on their
next steps.
Q:My customer has changed their mind, can they
be disconnected?
A: Customers can only be disconnected under the 14 day
distance selling regulations.
Q:My customer’s network branded handset is
faulty, what should I do?
A: Within the first 28 days of connection the customer
(or you with the customer present) can contact Business
Customer Services to carry out a diagnostics check on
the handset. If it’s faulty then you will either be given a
fault code (Orange & EE Corporate only) and a note will
be placed on the customer’s account. You can then order
a replacement handset from us, complete the exchange
with the customer and directly with the network. Only then
can you request a Returns Authorisation (RA) for the faulty
device (Orange & EE Corporate only). T-Mobile & EE Small
Business handsets can be returned without an RA number.
If the handset goes faulty outside the 1st 28 days the
customer should contact the network themselves and the
network is responsible for exchanging the handset.
Q:Can I connect generic kit?
A: Yes. You will not get the £10 handset bonus however.
Q:I’ve decided to change my approved DA. Do I
need to let the network know?
A: Yes. You will need to speak to your Account Manager
who will be able to re-open your original DA ticket. We will
then send this off to the network for re-approval.

The rules for using
network branded vs SIM
free handsets
SMALL BUSINESS SINGLE PLANS
If connecting a Single plan you must
use either an EE branded small business
device or a SIM free device providing they
are 4G. The IMEI and the SIM numbers
must be provided on the connection
template.
SMALL BUSINESS SHARER PLANS
You can connect any combination of
either EE branded small business devices,
T-Mobile 3G devices or SIM free kit
providing at least 1 of them is 4G.
If using SIM free handsets you must enter
the IMEI on the connection template.
The £10 handset bonus does not apply
when connecting SIM free kit.

Due to EE's privacy policy, the only person authorised to access
their account(s) to check or change their details is the account
holder, or people whom the account holder has nominated to
act on their behalf.
Account holders can nominate others to access information
and make changes to their account by completing a Third Party
Access Authority form which is available on our portal.

PAPER BILLS & DIRECT DEBIT
EE charges for paper bills and non Direct
Debit payments. Please ensure that your
customers are aware of the following:

that all bills will be online bill, unless
they request a paper bill (chargeable at
£1.25 ex vat per month.)
That they should pay by Direct Debit
to avoid any additional costs. If they
choose to pay via another payment
method, they will incur a £2.92 ex vat
charge each month.

DISCOUNT AUTHORISATION (DA) CRITERIA
DA requests will be accepted on EE Corporate and Small
Business only based on these guidelines:

Discounts can be applied in conjunction with other
promotional offers and will be assessed in line with
the promotions being applied. Ensure if a promotion is
being used this is stated clearly on the request.
Discounts for under 5 connections will not be
considered unless they are being added to the
existing base and those additions bring the account
to greater than 10.

No single subscriber plan connection discounts will
be considered that are under 10 connections.
Discounts will be considered for sharers with 5-10
connections with an ARPU (average revenue per unit)
of £25 on new and £30 on upgrades.
Current spend needs to be backed up by either the
existing phone SIMs or a Tariffcom report.
Please note that EE no longer discounts Orange and
T-Mobile connections.
SUBMIT ONLINE REQUEST
Login to the Partner Portal and submit a Discount Request ticket. We’ll then pass onto EE for them to make a
decision. If this does not pass, then we will require your customer’s bills to send off to Tariffcom for analysis. Please
note that may take 5 days. Once the analysis has been received from Tariffcom then we submit the request back to EE
for sign off.

Please reference the discount approval code when submitting the upgrades or new connections - the discount is not
automatically applied unless referenced. In rare circumstances where additional commission is approved, this will be

GATHER CUSTOMER INFORMATION

You will need all the customer information to complete the mandatory fields on the credit vet/connection ticket.
Log into the Partner Portal, click on Connect and submit an credit check and connection ticket.
Enable Macros to complete the form
Please note that you need to enable macros to complete the form, see fig 1 opposite. The master file is located within
the Knowledge centre on the Partner Portal .
SUBMIT CREDIT CHECK/Connection TICKET
including 3rd party access request

Within the portal submit a new EE credit check and connection ticket using the customer information and
remembering to upload the connection template with the ticket details. THIRD PARTY ACCESS: include a 3rd
party access request form with your connection request ticket which gives you Dealer Authority to make an
amendment to an existing account. Both the connection template and 3rd party access forms can be found on the
portal.

COMPLETE Connection
TEMPLATE
Once you have all your customer details you will need to complete the EE Excel connections template for each user.
This is where you will need your tariff product codes (published in this guide within the tariff tables) and handset IMEI
and SIM numbers for old and new devices. See pages 68-69 for a detailed guide to completing this spreadsheet.

The first tab must be filled out with your dealer code and verification that the customer has signed a contract - see fig 2.

Credit checks and connections may take up to 2 hours to be checked and processed by our support team. Please
note you will be asked to authorise the processing of the connection once the credit check is approved. EE may
take up to 48 hours to complete Ports and New Connections. Your ticket status will be updated and you will be
notified by email.

What is the proposition?

Customers want to use their tablets/laptops to the max wherever they are and whenever they want. So for these customers
EE has included their fastest double speed 4GEE service with their higher end mobile broadband plans and SIMO plans so
they can get the best possible service.
Single plan - can be processed immediately. Simply submit an online ticket via our partner portal.
Share plans – will need to be disbanded first before the upgrade can take place, this is a three step process:

pay monthly and pay as you go services.

Once you have had notification that the talk share has been requested to disband you will need to send in
the connection template to us on an Upgrade Request ticket at least 5 full working days prior to the bill date,
excluding weekends. If you are outside any of the above time scales then please speak to our Business Support
Team.
STEP 3 - the trigger for the upgrade to register
This will complete when the customer puts the SIM card in the handset.
We are trialing a new upgrade process where disbands are not required and an internal port takes place at the
network. Please advise if you wish to use this process on your connection ticket and advise us of a port date.
This is a much faster process and can now be completed in just one day.

It is recommended that you give a minimum of 5 working days’ notice before the bill date is provided, excluding
weekends. You can submit a “disbanding talk plan” ticket in the EE post connection section of our Partner Portal
requesting that a talk share is disbanded. This can be requested the day after a bill date i.e. you can give up to
30 days’ notice to disband a talk share, requesting as follows “please disband the talk share ready for upgrade to
EE4G at the next bill date, connection template to follow.” You will receive an email back from us confirming that
this process has been done. The talk share does not disband until the bill date, the customer stays on their current
tariff until the bill date.
STEP 1 - RAISE AN Upgrade REQUEST TICKET
An Upgrade request ticket must be submitted on the Partner Portal. Upgrades can be done the same day. The
EE4G handsets are connected immediately and the mobile numbers are migrated over the same day. The tariff
changes immediately so the customer will have two bills covering the calendar month with the final T-Mobile bill
reflecting any refunds due to the customer.
STEP 2 - the trigger for the upgrade to register
EE small will complete with immediate effect unless a delay is requested - in which case it will complete when the
customer puts the SIM in the handset and texts “switch” to 3333.
