Welcome and introduction
The Football Medicine Community
under one roof
Isokinetic Medical Group welcomes you to London and to
the XXIV edition of the Conference.
Throughout the years this event has become the meeting
point of the international Football Medicine Community,
gathering sports medicine specialists and professionals
from 77 different countries around the world. Thanks to
the support of F-MARC, the FIFA Medical Assessment and
Research Centre, and to the international community, the
Conference has achieved high scientific and cultural levels.
We hope that it can become an annual fixture for the
update of those already in the game, and the education
of young and future practitioners.
One single Conference for four topics
Player care is the most important aspect to be considered when talking about sport. It can be analysed from many
different points of view. This Football Medicine Strategies Conference will cover all the topics of interest for every
practitioner and party involved in the management of and delivery of care to professional and grassroots players
(orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physiatrists, radiologists, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists,
athletic trainers, masseurs, coach team and team managers).
In order to give a complete vision of the challenge and to deliver a real contribution to the spread of good health
practice in the world, the programme has been divided into 4 main areas of interest.

The assembly of the
FIFA Medical Centres of Excellence
The XXIV International Conference on Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology will be the
meeting place for the FIFA Medical Centres of Excellence (FMCoE) for the second time.
FIFA, the International Federation of Football Association, is the international federation that
manages and rules the sport of football, seeking to improve the game of football and promote it
throughout the world. In order to do so, FIFA established the network of the FMCoE globally, in
order to guarantee to players in whichever nation to be supported by experts of football medicine.
Today the accredited centres are more than 40 in the world. Isokinetic was the 11th Centre of
Excellence to be acknowledged by FIFA.
The XXIV International Conference on Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology will be for the second time the meeting place
for the FIFA medical Centres of Excellence (FMCoE) that here will organise their annual assembly.

Free Oral and Poster Sessions
The International Conference on Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology has always encouraged the active participation
of all the specialists of the field. The multidisciplinary nature of the event represents a unique occasion to share the
results of original researches with the Football Medicine Community through the Free Oral and Poster Sessions.
The Free Oral Communications will take place in parallel sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
The Free Poster Communications will be displayed for the full duration of the Conference in a dedicated Poster Area
and participants will have the opportunity to discuss them during the Poster Sessions.
The proposals of scientific contributions must be written in English, and submitted to the Scientific Direction by
15th January, 2015. All the accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book distributed to all participants
during the Conference and available in the most important bookshops, after the event. For further information about
abstract submission, please contact the Organising Secretariat at [email protected]

and Traumatology
Participate actively
in the Conference!
Share your experience
with the Football Medicine Community
This is your occasion to meet and get to know the maximum number of
specialists of the international Football Medicine Community. If you have
undertaken research or experienced particular cases that you want to report,
you have the chance to share your results with the Conference audience.
There are two ways to get involved: participating in a free oral communication
or presenting a free poster. You can choose the option that suits you better,
by asking our Organising Secretariat for the abstract form and the guidelines
for the abstract submission. Please write to [email protected]
or phone us on +39 051 2986814 to receive them. The deadline for
the submission of your scientific contributions is 15th January, 2015.
Get involved!
Become Our Partner
Isokinetic Medical Group welcomes all companies to participate in this
Conference and become a commerical partner. There are many options to
choose, including the hire of exhibit spaces, inserts in delegate bags and an
active participation by way of scientific contributions, such as workshops.
This is a great opportunity to receive a high visibility and, at the same time,
to come into contact with an international audience that is always attracted
by new technologies and updated techniques.
Our Organising Secretariat is at your disposal to supply customised solutions
and to suggest what would work better for your own objectives. Write to
[email protected] your enquiry or requests, we will be happy to help you.
Exhibit Spaces
Exhibit spaces are located througout the Conference centre, in specific areas
where the flow of people is enhanced by the presence of conference rooms
and the scientific programme.
All the booths are placed in positions that guarantee a high exposure to
visitors and allow for enough room to speak and establish connections.
The Organising Secretariat will give you the full detailed plans of exhibit
spaces, sizes and prices. Don’t loose this opportunity!
Workshops
A dedicated conference room is available to hold a private workshop. It will
be added to the scientific programme of the Conference and in the final
programme that all delegates receive. The workshop is like a “mini-conference”
run and organised by yourself, with your own programme. We will give you
the room and explain to you the different categories of event that you can
run. Here you will have the chance to promote your products or technologies
and visitors can sit and listen to your “conference”. The time slots available
are the same as those given to the session of the official scientific programme,
so you can choose the one that you prefer. Ask the Organising Secretariat
for further details.
