Borsalino rinnova la sua lunga tradizione con una collezione FW 2014-15 che punta tutto sulla pulizia delle linee e del design allo stato
puro. Un ritorno alle origini nel rispetto dell’eleganza che ha reso Borsalino un nome iconico a livello globale. La collezione si divide
in tre diverse famiglie che offrono un panorama variegato ed entusiasmante. I modelli continuativi rimangono dei grandi classici che
subiscono, di volta in volta, leggeri cambiamenti, in una continua evoluzione dove la sostanza rimane fondamentalmente immutata. Le
novità di stagione intercettano, dal canto loro, i trend del momento, contribuendo a ridefinire il concetto di stile contemporaneo.
Si parte con la linea “Qualità Superiore”, il fiore all’occhiello della produzione cappelliera italiana. Qui le esigenze raggiungono i massimi
livelli: solo il meglio, il più prezioso, il più raro. Oggetti pensati per donare un’allure speciale grazie a materiali e lavorazioni esclusive.
“Alessandria” è la linea costruita con maestria e attenzione al dettaglio, ma allo stesso tempo alla moda e versatile. Cappelli di tendenza
che non tradiscono la linea generale di essenziale sobrietà dettata per questa stagione dal brand.
“Marengo” rappresenta invece la parte della collezione che risponde a un’attitudine più rilassata e nonchalance. Pezzi dal piglio informale
che rispecchiano sempre e comunque l’inconfondibile cifra stilistica Borsalino. Pensati per rispondere a un vezzo del momento ma
capaci di durare tutta la vita.
Fondamentale è una rispondenza tra modelli maschili e femminili, in omaggio a una bellezza atemporale e sofisticata, rispettando la
suddivisione nelle tre categorie: “Qualità Superiore”, “Alessandria” e “Marengo”. Da sottolineare come il design della linea donna abbia
subito un profondo restyling grazie all’inserimento di modelli nuovi o continuativi che hanno permesso – al pari della sua controparte
maschile – di imporsi come la referenza assoluta in materia di copricapi.
Disponibili nelle versioni con tesa larga, media e trilby, per questa stagione lo stile dei cappelli Borsalino si arricchisce di alcuni interessanti
esemplari. Punta di diamante della collezione è il 50grammi, frutto dell’eccellenza artigianale Borsalino, ma con un tocco informale.
Questo cappello è sì formato con vaga e bozze, ma, oltre a essere super leggero, è decostruito, permettendo a chi lo porta di piegarlo
per riporlo nella tasca della giacca con un gesto svelto ed elegante
Da citare poi i bicolori, in feltro Melousine che alternano due sfumature tono su tono, tra tesa e corona. Per la prima volta è stato creato
anche il “Cervelt” da donna, l’impareggiabile modello storico, vero e proprio oggetto di culto adorato dai connoisseurs. O ancora, per
una nota più fashion, i modelli in seta cardata e il Baseball in velluto fantasia che si ispira al mondo del rap. Questa stagione da notare
anche una grande attenzione intorno alla coppola, disponibile in una maggiore varietà di colori e tessuti e in un’inedita versione in feltro
da uomo, dalla nuova modellistica più slim e giovane.
Grande pulizia intorno ai loghi, sia interni che esterni, per arrivare alla definizione di un unico design ufficiale che comparirà, d’ora in poi,
indistintamente su tutti i modelli.
Dal punto di vista dei colori, per l’uomo primeggiano quelli della terra e del bosco: verdi e bruni su tutti ma anche un particolare tipo di
indaco con fascia a contrasto color vinaccia. Per la donna particolare attenzione è stata data ai toni accesi, dal giallo zafferano, al rosso
corallo, fino al blu intenso.
Una storia d’amore, quella di Borsalino, che seduce stagione dopo stagione, anno dopo anno. Una nobile passione per lo stile e la
ricercatezza, per personalità protagoniste del loro tempo.
Borsalino injects new energy into its traditional design in the F/W 2014-2015 collection which focuses on sleek lines and design in the
purest form. A return to basics in respect of elegance that have made Borsalino an iconic name globally. The collection is divided into
three different categories which offer a variegated and exciting range. The classic models still have a timeless appeal but, from time
to time, they undergo light changes, in a cycle of continuous evolution, where the substance remains basically unaltered. The new
proposals of the season express current trends and help to redefine the concept of contemporary style.
We begin with the “Q.S. Superior Quality” range, the feather in the cap of the production of the Italian hat maker. Here we find the most
exacting standards: only the best, the most precious, the rarest materials. Headwear designed to confer that special allure due to the
exclusive materials and craftsmanship used.
“Alessandria” is the range crafted masterfully with attention to detail but at the same time stylish and versatile. Trendy hats which never
betray the general style of underlying sobriety established for this season by the brand.
“Marengo” represents the part of the collection which embodies a more whimsical and nonchalant attitude. Headwear with an informal
tone, which still however reflects the unmistakable Borsalino hallmark of style. Designed to satisfy a momentary whim that will last a
lifetime.
Fundamentally, the collection shows consistency between male and female models, honouring a timeless and sophisticated beauty, and
according to the subdivision into three categories: “Q.S. Superior Quality”, “Alessandria” and “Marengo”. Worthy of mention is how the
design of the women’s collection has undergone a profound restyling thanks to the inclusion of new models and timeless classics which
have enabled – on par with its male counterpart – to impose itself as the benchmark in terms of headwear.
Available in versions with wide, medium and trilby brims, Borsalino’s hat range welcomes some intriguing new entries for this season.
The jewel in the crown of the collection is the 50grams, the brainchild of Borsalino’s craft excellence, however with an informal touch.
This formed hat with crease and pinches, other than being ultra-lightweight is also deconstructed, allowing the wearer to roll it and store
it in a jacket pocket with a quick and elegant gesture.
Not overlooking the two-tone hats in Melousine felt, blending two matching shades, between brim and crown. For the first time, the
women’s version of the “Cervelt” has been produced, a long-standing traditional model, a true object of cult adored by connoisseurs.
And again, on a more contemporary note, the models in carded silk and the Baseball cap in patterned velvet which are inspired by the
Rap scene. The coppola cap has also been revamped and is now available in a wider range of colours and materials, and in an all-new
remodelled felt version, slimmer and younger.
The logos have been streamlined, both internally and externally, in order to define a single official design which from now on will appear
without distinction on all models.
From the perspective of colours, the men’s range features earthy and woody tones: mainly greens and browns but also a particular type
of indigo with a contrasting burgundy hatband. The women’s range places the accent on vibrant colours, ranging from saffron yellow, to
coral red and to intense blue.
A love story, that of Borsalino, which seduces season after season, year after year. A noble passion for style and refinement, for important
figures who are the idols of their time.
