The 2015 PASA Events Schedule Promotional opportunities

2015 Events Schedule
Partnership, Sponsorship & Exhibition Opportunities
Overview
The team at BTTB has produced more events for the professional procurement community in the
Australasian region in the last 15 years than all of our competitors combined. This deep experience,
combined with our ongoing research into the changing demands of both delegates and sponsors,
provides us with a unique understanding of what works and what doesn’t.
As delegates find it harder to obtain budgets to attend conferences, and suppliers seek more and better
opportunities for engagement with potential customers, we are increasingly finding that events are being
driven by sponsorship and exhibition revenue. The quid pro quo for this, of course, is that sponsors’
expectations of what constitutes success and a good return on investment is also increasing.
For delegates, time is often in as short supply as funding to attend. This places greater pressure on both
them and us, as conference organisers, to ensure that every moment spent out of the office attending an
event is bringing value, whether in the form of practical learning, building networks or learning about new
opportunities in the supply market.
These are the primary factors that have driven the development of our 2015 conference schedule, a
schedule that provides procurement professionals with outstanding, practical learning and networking
opportunities, while providing suppliers with better than ever engagement, both in terms of quality and
quantity.
New Higher Quality Engagement Opportunities
2015 will see an even greater number of opportunities for suppliers wishing to meet with procurement
professionals, with the primary focus being on the quality of the engagement. The success of the two
CPO Exchange events run in 2014, where CPOs attended a fixed number of pre-scheduled meetings with
participating suppliers, demonstrated that the appetite is there, from both buyers and suppliers, for this
more formal, extended type of engagement. While this format cannot practically be applied to all events,
we have introduced it on a number of events, where we believe it will add value for all participants.
Types of Event
There are two types of event in the schedule:
Exchanges – include pre-scheduled meetings
Standard Events – No pre-scheduled meetings, but plenty of opportunities for engagement
Exchanges, by their design, are restricted in numbers, but provide higher quality engagement
opportunities through the pre-scheduled meetings. Depending on the event, these meetings will run for
either 30 or 20 minutes.
Standard events provide access to greater numbers of prospects, and a wider variety of promotional
opportunities.
Types of Opportunity
While there will be increased focus on the use of pre-scheduled meetings, our events schedule has been
designed to meet our supplier customer’s needs by delivering promotional opportunities to relevant
audiences, that either build greater awareness of your business, products and services, or provide you
with opportunities for face-to-face contact with potential new customers.
There are essentially six types of opportunity:
• Exchange Partnerships – Pre-scheduled meetings, highest quality direct engagement with
prospective customers, positions strictly limited
• Event Partnerships – Extensive brand building, programme/speaking opportunities, premium
positioning, face-to-face sales opportunities
• Networking Partnerships – sponsor a function, such as lunch or cocktails
• Programme/Workshop Partnerships – directly sponsor a session and participate in the
development and delivery of the content
• Exhibition space – Face-to-face sales opportunities
• Delegate experience – build brand awareness by sponsoring such items as baristas,
conference apps, promotional materials
The key to delivering results and return on investment for you as a sponsor is to engage early with the
Procurement and Supply team so that we can work with you to ensure that we are matching the right
opportunities, on the right events, to the right audiences.

2015 PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY EVENTS SCHEDULE 5
2015 Events & Opportunities
Please see below brief overviews of the currently scheduled events, along with a list of the available opportunities and indicative prices.
Further details, with full package inclusions, will be supplied on request.
ProcureTech
The CPO Exchanges
The drive to employ technology to improve procurement
capability and productivity gets stronger each year.
ProcureTECH is the region’s only event focussed on those
enabling technologies.
Procurement and Supply ran two successful CPO Exchanges in
2014, both of which generated resoundingly positive feedback
from both the CPOs and supplier partners who participated. The
Exchanges are run on the model whereby CPOs attend free of
charge, with the event costs underwritten by the supplier partners.
In return for the free attendance, the CPOs commit to conducting
a minimum of six half-hour meetings with supplier partners over
the two days. As a supplier partner, you can anticipate conducting
approximately 16 such meetings during the event. These meetings
are scheduled prior to the event, using an intuitive online scheduling
system.
11th & 12th Feb 2015
Melbourne Olympic Park
The event will cover a wide range of enabling technologies
including: P2P, e-procurement, eTenders, decision support,
supplier management, expense management, spend analysis,
and technologies that assist with managing specific complex
categories.
While the educational programme will provide advice, analysis
and education on technology and how it can be deployed to
improve procurement performance, the most important aspect
of the event is the opportunity it provides to those responsible
for improving their organisation’s capability to learn more
about the technologies currently available and what they can
do for them.
Therefore, a significant amount of time in the programme
is dedicated to ‘test drives’, where delegates work around
the trade show, viewing demonstrations of the available
technologies. This year, we will also be introducing a preevent meetings scheduling system, with delegates required to
book a given number of 20-minute meetings with technology
vendors during the event. In return for buyer delegates
committing to attend a minimum of four scheduled meetings
throughout the two days of the event, their attendance will be
free.
26th & 27th Feb 2015 – 20th & 21st August 2015
The Sofitel Broadbeach, Gold Coast
In addition to the pre-scheduled meetings, you will have plenty of
opportunity to network with the attending CPOs throughout the
event.
One of the elements that made the events such a success in 2014
was the fact that numbers of both CPOs and supplier partners
were capped at 32 and 12, respectively. This created a group of
approximately 50-60 people at the event, which along with the
location and programme structure, created a relaxed, intimate
atmosphere that encouraged far greater dialogue and networking
than at any other event we have ever run. We will, therefore, be
retaining these capped numbers in 2015 at the currently scheduled
February and August events.
Exchange Partner positions are going fast, so lock in now.

Achieving Category
Management Excellence
11th & 12th March 2015, Venue TBC, Sydney
(includes The Category Manager of the Year Awards Dinner)
Achieving Category Management Excellence will adopt a format
that we have run successfully on many occasions in the past, with
one major difference – buyer delegates will attend free of charge.
The programme will include a mix of general, category management
focussed sessions and category-specific workshops addressing
eight important indirect categories. These eight sessions may be
sponsored by relevant suppliers. Plenty of time will be built into the
programme for buyers to engage with participating suppliers.
The event will also include the 1st Procurement and Supply
Category Manager of the Year Awards Dinner, where we will
recognise excellence in category management across a range of
indirect categories. Position your organisation as the leader in your
sector by sponsoring the relevant award.
The event and the awards provide a wide range of opportunities for
suppliers to engage with potential customers, from highlighting your
sector leadership as the exclusive award sponsor for your category
to exhibiting in the category exchange.

2015 PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY EVENTS SCHEDULE 6
Procurement and Supply
Auckland ConfeX
The Contract Labour &
Recruitment Exchange
After a successful debut event in April 2014, we anticipate strong
support for the 2nd Auckland ConfeX in 2015. Day one will feature
a single stream programme addressing key issues facing NZ
procurement professionals today, while day two will see a series of
half-day skills-based workshops. Additional features for 2015 will
be the introduction of shared group tickets for use by some of the
larger Auckland procurement teams, meaning greater numbers and
more diversity of delegates through the event over the two days.
We often hear about the misalignment of goals between
procurement and HR when it comes to Contract Labour and
Recruitment. What’s right for the goose is often not for the
gander! With contingent labour the fastest-growing category
in the corporate world today, organisations need to ensure that
their procurement and HR teams are aligned, if they want to
achieve best practice results.

BTTB Australia
6th & 7th May 2015
The Australian Technology Park, Sydney
Now in its 16th year as the leading business travel event to attend
in the region, BTTB Australia returns to the Australian Technology
Park Sydney, but with a whole new look and a number of exciting
new features. The trade show is being relocated to the main
exhibition hall, providing us with the flexibility to create our own
‘business travel village’ and allowing us to host the hugely popular
BTTB Travel Management Awards Dinner under the same roof as
the conference for the first time. This change will create a more
seamless experience for delegates and sponsors, as the event
moves naturally from the conclusion of day one of the conference
onto the dinner. It will also create additional, relaxed networking for
sponsors and exhibitors, as the pre-dinner cocktails will be held in
the trade show area.
Another change in 2015 will see ‘buyers’ attending on a
complimentary ‘hosted buyer’ basis. In exchange for their free
attendance, they will be required to pre-schedule a minimum
number of meetings with participating sponsors and exhibitors,
using a dedicated online meetings scheduling platform.
Participating sponsors and exhibitors will have the opportunity to
invite buyers to meet, providing greater certainty and focus in terms
of delivering desired outcomes.
