Parent Conversation Workshops
Dear Parents of ELLs:
Please join the ESL Department for a series of parent workshops. The
workshops’ will provide an opportunity for parents with limited English
ability an opportunity to converse with other adults in a safe and supportive
environment. Parkland ESL teachers will guide the conversation and will
answer questions about the session’s topic.
Each workshop will be held from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in Room 110 at the
Troxell Building. The Troxell Building is located at 2219 N. Cedar Crest
Blvd. with parking in the rear of the building. For more information, contact

2 days before the first event you plan to attend.

Parent Conversation Workshops
Please forward all RSVPs to Barb. Barb will call the presenters the
day before the workshops with a count.
Barb will post signs on the outside doors at Troxell to direct parents
to Room 110.
Presenters will submit the evening’s sign-in sheet to Marge after
each session. Payment will be submitted after each sign-in sheet is
received. Payment for each presenter is at the current rate of
$42/hour for two hours (one hour for prep and one hour for the
workshop).
In the event of a school closing, the session will be postponed to a
