God our Creator, we confess that we are broken, sinful

favor for granted. Forgive us, God of grace. Pour out your
mercy upon us so that we may live in a way that is pleasing to
you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Amen*ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

Leader: Hear the good news!
All:
The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

we might be dead to sin, and alive to all that is good.

I declare to you in the name of Jesus Christ, you are
forgiven. -Amen*THE PASSING OF THE PEACE (Briefly pass the peace of Christ

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (Sect.10.4)
Brief Statement of Faith from the Book of Confessions
We trust in God the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and
renewer of life. The Spirit justifies us by grace through faith, sets
us free to accept ourselves and to love God and neighbor, and
binds us together with all believers in the one body of Christ, the
Church. The same Spirit who inspired the prophets and apostles
rules our faith and life in Christ through Scripture, engages us
through the Word proclaimed, claims us in the waters of
baptism, feeds us with the bread of life and the cup of salvation,
and calls women and men to all ministries of the Church.
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
(To be sung)
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy
kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we
forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the
glory, forever. Amen.

Welcome to our visitors today! We are glad you are here and we
hope you will join us for worship again. If you are interested in
joining our church, there are three ways you may do so. They are:
transfer of letter from your church of previous membership,
reaffirmation of faith if you have already been baptized; and baptism
and affirmation of faith if you have not been baptized. If you are
interested in joining, please ask our pastor or a ruling elder for more
details.
Please use the friendship register to indicate your presence in
worship. Pass the register back to the center aisle and note those
who are seated with you on the pew and greet them following the
worship service. If you are visiting with us for the first time, please
include your address, telephone number, and e-mail as well.
Children are welcome and invited to worship with us in many
ways! There are worship bags and Children’s Bulletins in the
narthex. Children of all ages (even grown-up children) are invited to
come forward at the Time with the Young Disciples. Children 4
years old through 2nd grade are invited to Children’s Worship
with their leader after the Time with the Young Disciples.
Children in 3rd grade and above are encouraged to worship with
their families. There is a nursery downstairs beneath the narthex for
children ages birth through 3-years-old during the entire service.
Need help hearing the service? Receivers connected to the sound
system are available in the Narthex. Just ask an usher.
