PartnerRe makes appointments in Asia
PartnerRe continues to increase its underwriting resources in the Asia Pacific region to enhance
proximity and responsiveness to clients with two appointments.
David Li, Chief Representative for PartnerRe in Beijing
Mr. David Li is responsible for further strengthening PartnerRe’s position in the Chinese market as
part of the ongoing reinforcement of PartnerRe’s Asia Pacific operations. Based in Beijing, Mr. Li
reports to Mr. Alain Flandrin, CEO PartnerRe Asia. Mr. Li brings more than 12 years of re/insurance
experience to his new role. He previously held the position of Head of Treaty for the Americas with a
Chinese reinsurer, prior to which he had spent 10 years in the US as Commercial Lines Underwriting
Officer.
Richard Chu, Senior Underwriter, Credit & Surety, Asia Pacific, PartnerRe
Mr. Richard Chu is responsible for underwriting PartnerRe’s credit and surety business in the Asia
Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Mr. Chu reports to Philippe Domart, CUO PartnerRe Asia.
With over 20 years of re/insurance experience, primarily in the underwriting and development of
credit insurance and surety business in the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Chu is a recognized specialist with
deep market knowledge and strong client relationships. Prior to joining PartnerRe, Mr. Chu was
responsible for developing the credit and surety portfolio with an Asia-based reinsurer.
