INSPIRATION
Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Eknathrao Vikhe Patil- our visionary philanthropist pioneered the cooperative
movement in India by establishing the first cooperative sugar factory in Asia, at Pravaranagar, a remote
village in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra. He made untiring efforts for the upliftment of rural
masses and initiated various other social and educational movements. The deeds and accomplishments
of Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil made him immortal and he is living and will live forever till the
civilization exists and in the hearts of the generations to come.
ABOUT PDVVP FOUNDATION
To realize the visionary thoughts of Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil, his worthy son, Hon'ble
Padmabhushan Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe patil, established Padmashree Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation
in the year 1982 with soul aim to provide education to rural masses. Now under the dynamic leadership
of Hon'ble Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil & Hon'ble Dr. Sujay Vikhe Patil the foundation is dedicated to
provide quality education in the field of Medical, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Nursing,
Physiotherapy, Agriculture, ITI and basic Schooling.
ABOUT COLLEGE
The Institute was established in the year 1983 in the proximity of Ahmednagar Industrial area offering
undergraduate & postgraduate courses. The institution is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University,
Pune and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra & approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Over the
years it has grown into a premier institution with excellent teaching-learning environment to achieve
excellence in imparting quality technical education thereby generating technocrats compatible with
needs of current industries & society. Institute offers undergraduate courses in Civil, Electrical
Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology, Instrumentation & Mechanical Engineering.
Institute also provides the education in post graduate course in Mechanical Engineering (Design Engg.) &
Civil Engineering (Structural Engg.). The institution is located on beautiful picturesque & pollution free
land at a distance of 12 km from Ahmednagar city on Ahmednagar-Shirdi state highway.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments of College. Established in the
year 1986, PDVVP's Mechanical Engineering Department has been providing excellent learning and
research opportunities for undergraduate and post graduate students, in addition to providing
consultancy services to the multiple industries.
Since its inception the department has gained a reputation in the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune,
(formerly University of Pune) as renowned department due to high academic standards established by
qualified, experienced and devoted faculty. Today, the Department of Mechanical Engineering attracts
and features a rich diversity and quantity of talented individuals, with nearly 600 undergraduates, 50
postgraduate students and around 44 faculty members. All the laboratories in the department are well
equipped and are at par with latest technology. The department had been accredited by National Board
of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.
CONFERENCE SCOPE
The Advances in Mechanical Engineering are the order of the day with the rapid industrialization and
urbanization seen in developed and developing nations. Rapid population growth and the global pursuit
of sustainability are creating new demands for engineers who can design products, services and
infrastructure to improve the quality of life for the billions. Innovative design and new practices are
challenging tasks to the researchers and working engineers to meet the ever growing demands of
society.
The conference is the premiere forum for the presentation of new advances and research
results in the fields of Mechanical Engineering. The Conference will provide a leading forum for sharing
the original research contributions and practical development experiences among students,
researchers, academicians, industry professionals and application developers in Mechanical
Engineering. This conference will also provide opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and
application through face-to-face discussions, to establish business or research relations and to find
global partners for future collaborations. We hope that the outcome of RAME-2015 will yield significant
contribution to the knowledge in the emerging areas of Mechanical Engineering.

PUBLICATIONS OF PAPERS
All submitted conference papers will be blind peer reviewed by competent reviewers. The selected
papers will be published by RAME-2015 with ISSN number in the form of e-Journal as well as in print copy.
The length of each camera-ready paper will be limited to 6 pages. The registration fee includes the
publication of one accepted paper up to 6 pages in the conference proceeding. For each additional paper
by the same author, there is a charge of ` 400 per additional paper. A accepted papers will be published
in the issues of the online journal “Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering- RAME” with ISSN
number. Abstracts of all papers will be published in the conference proceeding. The conference
proceeding & CD along with certificate of presentation will be distributed to the conference participants
at the conference registration desk.
HIGHLIGHTS OF CONFERENCE
Attractive prizes worth ` 30,000. Three papers will be selected from each area for the consideration
of prizes.
A visit to Shirdi, a holy place of Saibaba, Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (VRDE),
Avatar Meherbaba Shrine, Ahmednagar will be arranged on 24th January 2015.
ABOUT AHMEDNAGAR
Ahmednagar is more than 500 years old city, located centrally in the state of Maharashtra. It was the
capital of Nizamshahi. It is a Military hub with headquarters of Armoured Corps Centre & School and
Mechanized Infantary Regimental Centre. It is on Manmad-Daund section of central railway and is well
connected with road to Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nasik. The nearest airports of Pune and
Aurangabad are equidistant from Ahmednagar at 120 Km. Several historical monuments such as ancient
temples, mosques, shrines and forts dot the district and around city in particular. Ahmednagar Fort, Tank
Museum, Salebat Khan's Tomb, VRDE, Meher Baba Shrine, Hivare Bazar, Ralegan Siddhi, Shani
Shingnapur (40 Km) and Shirdi (70 Km) are the important places to visit. World famous Ellora Caves are
just a few hours of drive from Ahmednagar.

The Institution of Engineers (India) or IEI is the largest multidisciplinary professional body that encompasses
15 engineering disciplines and gives engineers a global platform from which to share professional interest. IEI
has membership strength of nearly 0.7 million. Established in 1920, with its headquarters at 8 Gokhale Road,
Kolkata - 700020, IEI has served the engineering fraternity for over nine decades. In this period of time it has
been inextricably linked with the history of modern-day engineering.
IEI offers a non-formal engineering course, the successful completion of which is officially recognized as
equivalent to a degree in engineering. Every year as many as 60000 candidates appear for these exams.
