Malachi 3:10 (NKJV) “Bring all the tithes into the
storehouse, that there may be food in My house, And try Me
now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you
the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that
there will not be room enough to receive it.”

He not only insists that we trust Him, but on one
occasion in Scripture He even encourages us to “try” Him.
This has to be a lesson that is so valuable for us to learn, that
God even tells us to just go ahead and try Him, and see if He
will not do what He said. Of course the Scripture passage is
one that perhaps you have heard many times before, but yet I
am convinced that so many of His people never choose to
take Him at His Word. Here is the passage…..are you ready?

Therein lies the secret for successful Christian living in
a world of so many uncertainties. We cannot control many of
the circumstances of our lives, but we can commit ourselves
to live according to the revealed plan of God, as given in His
Word, so that we may face each day with confidence that He
will provide, protect, and proceed with His perfect Will for us
which comes with a promise of “all things working together
for our good”. Wow! What a truth—that whatever comes our
way, the Father will bring good out of every situation.

The end of 2014 and the start of 2015
brings both an excitement of the anticipation
of a new year, but also the concerns of the
unknown adversities that we will face in the
months ahead. That brings to mind a verse
of Scripture in Deuteronomy 29:29 “The
secret things belong to the LORD our God,
but those things which are revealed
belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do
all the words of this law.” God, knowing that we could not
handle being aware of all that is ahead for us, has told us to
leave the things that belong to Him for Him to handle and to
trust Him with what He has revealed to us in His Word.
