I have access to resource materials to enable me to find answers, personal development pertinent to the Business and can keep abreast of business requirements such as Health & Safety. Having access to training online at busy times of year, like when the Melbourne Cup comes around, is a great way to refresh.” “The Wagering Operations team are becoming confident users with onTRACK and have done a great job with their performance reviews (DPA) especially with their Values and Behaviours. The introduction of the online performance reviews (DPA) has been positive for our team, giving us the opportunity to discuss our current and future goals and generally making the time to have one on one valuable discussions.” Tracey Brennan Manager Raceday Support Noel Reilly Racing Division Project Manager (RGIP) CASE STUDY - RWWA | 3 Reasons for the project ■■ RWWA work in a heavily legislated industry and require a flexible and reliable Learning Management System (LMS) to manage and record training of employees. The proposed LMS needed to be able to manage development plans and record all training undertaken by staff. ■■ It was also necessary that RWWA had a secure way to distribute and record compliance training for TAB employees. The records produced needed to be legally compliant and adhere to internal policy requirements. ■■ Before IMC, RWWA used multiple platforms to record and deliver their training and subsequently had no central record of staff training and development. “I have found that the new onTRACK LMS is a user friendly program which allows me to easily select training modules that are relevant to my role and the system also allows me to track which training modules I am yet to complete. This is particularly relevant to me personally but far more important for RWWA in rolling out standards on Health & Safety related programs.” Justin Fletcher OSH Advisor Objectives RWWA had the following objectives which were achieved during the project: ■■ M eet compliance requirements for adherence to legal and internal policies ■■ E ncourage informal, social learning – through chat rooms and discussion forums, so staff can collaborate with each other ■■ A completely customisable and configurable platform ■■ S ell training individuals to external ■■ Individual profiles that are tailored to the specific needs of each user CASE STUDY - RWWA | 4 Solution – RWWA’s onTRACK system ■■ The solution was an LMS that was customisable and allowed different users to access different learning modules via the IMC Learning Suite. onTRACK distinguishes between internal RWWA employees and TAB agents, enabling separate access rights for the two different sets of learning requirements. Furthermore, RWWA were able to sell training to external agents through a dedicated payment gateway. “onTRACK has been invaluable to me in relation to leadership expectations around Values & Behaviours, building our culture and keeping my staff up to speed with general training requirements, as all information required is easily accessible. Having a 24x7 system in place is of great value especially for my team who work in 24x7 shifts.” Rhonda Ebsary Call Centre & Customer Management - Manager ■■ The LMS also incorporates IMC’s authoring tool Content Studio, which enables learning to be delivered in a wide variety of formats. This has provided diverse training for employees that is engaging and improves the quality of learning. ■■ The platform was a cost effective solution, particularly as it amalgamated a number of other systems, reducing overall costs. By incorporating numerous customisable functions, the system enabled RWWA to carry out many tasks on the system, including documentation management, reporting, performance management, as well as managing training. “The most useful aspect of using the onTRACK LMS system for Development and Planning Agreements is the fact that it’s a live document that you can easily keep up to date all year round, which makes the end of year documentation easy. It also encourages the right behaviour in managers – that managing performance is an ongoing activity not a twice a year activity. Being able to give the various levels of management access to the agreements for review is extremely useful. Employees who wouldn’t normally have written anything in the old word or paper based document are starting to go into onTRACK and set their own goals, which is fantastic.“ Christine Boulton HR Advisor CASE STUDY - RWWA | 5 About IMC IMC AG is a leading international full service provider for learning and talent management systems, for individuals and standardised e-learning content and for authoring and publishing solutions.
