This is a FUN opportunity to play with other talented student musicians and provide the music for the show! Community service hours are available for this activity as well. FLU SEASON INFORMATION With the flu season upon us, please remember that we ask all families to please keep students who are exhibiting flu symptoms home, especially those with temperatures greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Students should be free of a temperature and vomiting for 24 hours prior to returning to school. We have several families with members who have compromised immune systems and would like to curtail any inadvertent exposures. Thank you! Please contact the Marketing Department. HIGH SCHOOL EPIPHANY MASS The high school will be celebrating the Feast of Epiphany with Mass on Thursday, January 8. This will be a split liturgy schedule with mass held in the Chapel at 9:25 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. All high school students are required to wear liturgy dress. A collection will be taken to benefit the Mission Trip. Thank you for your generosity! All are welcome to join us! PFSA MEETING CANCELLED The PFSA meeting for tomorrow has been cancelled. INTERPRETING PSAT RESULTS Freshman, sophomore and junior families: College Counseling has invited Ms. Molly Metz, co‐founder of Prep Northwest, to return to EC for an "Interpreting PSAT Results" information night on Wednesday, January 14 from 6‐7:30 p.m. In addition to helping our families understand the score results of the PSAT, Ms. Metz will talk about the SAT and ACT, the differences between the two exams and test strategies. Although our students typically do not plan to take the SAT or ACT until at least the fall of their junior year, we believe this session will be helpful for college planning purposes. MISSION TRIP PARENT MEETING Parents of students that are attending the mission trip in February are invited to attend an informational meeting Wednesday, January 14 at 7 p.m. in the EC Library. TOLO 2015 ‐ SAVE THE DATE ‐ FEBRUARY 7 Save the date for Tolo 2015 on Saturday, February 7, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.! The theme is "When in Rome..." Tickets will be $20 and on sale the week of Tolo. No tickets will be sold at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Mission Trip. Attire is formal. HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOKS ON SALE The high school yearbook is now on sale. The vice principal will consult with the student's teachers to determine if the request can be honored. Permission to reschedule a final exam is only granted in extreme circumstances. There is a $15 fee for each rescheduled final exam. SPIRIT DRESS ‐ FRIDAY, JANUARY 9 Students may wear either EC spirit wear or Seahawk attire this Friday, January 9 in celebration of the NFC playoff game on Saturday. Go Crusaders and go Hawks! STUDENT LED CONFERENCES ‐ REGISTER TODAY! Remember to register for your student's conference before the deadline of January 12. Conferences will take place January 20‐22. The middle school bell schedule during conference week will be the same as the high school finals schedule, with a daily start time of 9 a.m.and dismissal at 12:15 p.m. Buses will run accordingly and there will be no after school supervised study. Congratulations to the EC Wrestling program for hosting another successful Brian Hill Invitational tournament over Christmas break. Great job by all of our wrestlers, especially Matthieu Boss, 3rd place in his weight class and Matt Iwicki, champion of his weight class as well as Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. Thank you to all of our wrestling families for all of their hard work to make this tournament happen! If you would like to purchase tickets, see an EC baseball player! NOTE BASKETBALL GAME TIME CHANGES ON SATURDAY EC Basketball, both boys and girls, are scheduled to play Bainbridge at EC on Saturday. Due to the Seahawks game that evening, game times have been adjusted to 11 a.m. for girls, 1 p.m. for boys. JV and JV‐C have been postponed, date TBD.
