is the first time that I address you as the
ZCSD President.
First and foremost I want to thank Wally and Patty for their great service to our
club. They really guided us into the 21st
Century. I know that the amount of work
they did behind the scenes was tremendous
and exhausting. All I want is that our new
Board of directors can continue with the
excellent work done by them. The new
Board is an energetic and diverse group
with new and old faces and lots of experience. We will continue pushing forward
the love and admiration we all have for our
beloved Z cars. New and exciting runs are
in the planning as well as multiples events
with other Z car clubs. We welcome the
input and participation of all member to
continue the legacy of our club.
As previous years we will strive to have a
guest speaker and a drive or other activity
every month, please feel free to present
any interest and ideas you may have .
This month we will meet on the 17th at the
newest facilities of K1 Speed in San Diego East Village. Then Lunch at one of the
most iconic Mexican Restaurants, Cuatro
Milpas. Our guest speaker comes via Wally. David; the owner of Kite Flite located
at 849 West Harbor Dr. Sea Port Village.

Your Board in Action 2015
A little about me:
I was born in Seattle and after a few years of moving around ended
up in San Diego in 1975. I met my wife in 1987 and have worked
in the restaurant industry for most of my life. My first Z was 1978
280 (2 + 2), which I bought in 1985, and since then I have bought,
sold and traded 5 Z's ( some more than once). Currently I have a
1971 and a 1972 240z, a 1975 Datsun 620, and a 1985 Nissan 720.
In my spare time I like to work on my cars and go to junk yards. I
have a soft spot for all animals and my wife and I share our home
with our dog and three cats.

ZCSD December Board Meeting at Casa Cook
Last Board Meeting of the year was held at Casa de Cook’s, Wally and Patty were kind enough to
open their lovely home to us . They treated us to an awesome dinner and drinks and of course a full
set of ZCSD business agenda. It was the official Board positions transfer. We closed what most likely
be the most arduous and successful year in the ZCSD history. We as a club put together the best
ZCON ever!!! Thank you guys we had a great time.

ZCSD December 2014 General Meeting
He had an awesome gathering as our end of the year meeting . Jerry Kubitsky from
Summit Transmissions was our guest speaker. He gave an awesome presentation and
a couple o gift certificates for our raffle.
ZCSD December meeting was the last of the 2014 and also the last meeting directed by Wallace “Wally” Cook . Wally
has being the most active and hard working president we being honor to have. He created cohesion and stimulated the
membership to participate and take pride in our club. Wally promoted and coordinated inter clubs activities. He battle the
IRS and the Department of state for our clubs nonprofit status with the help of the Board. We have so much to thank Wally.
It also marks the last meeting Patty had to take notes , Patty you donated your time effort and knowledge to give us organization and clear direction to us by capturing the essence of our meeting in your cleaver notes. We are so thankful for your
hard work and service,
Thank you both from all of us at ZCSD!!!
I'm selling my baby. She is a 1978 Datsun 280z.
Here are some of the highlights:
+ 5 speed manual (hard to find)
+ Solid engine with no mechanical issues.
+ AC blows cold, very cold (again, not easy to find)
+ Owners manual and all paperwork
+ Interior is in decent shape. Some cosmetic stuff but everything works
+ There is some rust on the body where they normally rust (in the rear hatch) but no other rust on the frame
+ Including a couple of boxes of spare parts and accessories along with a cover.
+ I have a checklist from Aero Auto Group (Z-Whiz) with everything that needs to be done to get this car in tip top shape. I've
worked through it over the years but haven't completed everything. I'll show you what needs to be done.
+ In 2012 I had an appraisal done so that I could insure it with a new company. I'll provide that as well.
+ Never in an accident and I'll pay for a Car Fax for the serious buyer to prove it.
+ Clean and clear registration and title in-hand. It has a current smog cert.
This isn't a show car but it is very reliable and all original. I drove it daily for several months and it never left me stranded. Now
sitting in my garage (I drive it some on weekends) so I'd prefer it to go to a home that can give her some love and attention.
Serious inquiries only. I'm centrally located in Clairemont just off 163/Mesa College or 805/Balboa.
I am negotiable on the price but I won't reply to low ball offers. Cash only.
If you are reading this, it is still available so please don't ask. I'll pull the listing as soon as it is sold.

December Holiday Party
Our Christmas/Holiday Party took place at The Ramona Valley Grill, we had our traditional toy
drive and white elephant gift exchange. The food was absolutely awesome. The club Board paid for
the members dinner as a token of appreciation for the hard work during ZCON 2014.
Wally was presented with a cartoon art rendition of his beautiful Z car as a recognition
for his excellent work as our Club President
