Having joined Dixon
Hughes Goodman in the
last year, Melinda has
specific responsibility for developing
DHG Healthcare’s next generation
financial modeling products and
services related to the transition from
fee for service to non-Fee For Service
payment models. Prior to joining DHG,
Melinda was the Senior Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer of Bon
Secours Virginia Health System.
A member of HFMA since 1994, Ms.
Hancock’s involvement with the
National Association includes serving
on the National Advisory Council, the
Regional Executives Council (chair
2011-12), the Board of Directors and
Executive Committee. Ms. Hancock
has also served the Virginia Chapter
of HFMA as Director, Secretary,
President-Elect, and President. She has
received the Follmer Bronze, Reeves
Silver, Muncie Gold merit awards and
Founders Medal of Honor.

Mandatory Elements and an Update
from National HFMA. Learn how to
maximize the dynamic metrics of Value
Based Purchasing while minimizing the
penalties of Readmissions and Hospital
Acquired Conditions and how they are
not only related to one another but
feed advance payment models. This
session will also include updates on
tools and strategic plan updates from
a National HFMA perspective.

Over the past few years the Chapter Leaders have
found that one of the best ways to help members get
involved with committees and enjoy their experience
as a member, is to attend the Mini LTC (Leadership
Training Course). The Mini LTC is designed to assist
all members learn about the inner workings of the
Chapter’s thirty - plus active Committees and to
become an active volunteer.
HFMA FL Supports Second Harvest Food
Bank of Central Florida
The Mini LTC is free to attendees, but still requires you
to complete a separate registration form. To register for
the Mini LTC and for more details, click HERE.
HFMA FL will be collecting food donations of
non-perishable food to help replenish the Food
bank following the holidays.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a
private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores
and distributes donated food to more than 550
feeding partners in six Central Florida counties: Brevard,
Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia.
