Minimum Claiming Price $2,000
RULES OF ELIGIBILITY
No horse over the age of twelve will be allowed to
start. Only races carried in the Daily Racing
Form, Equibase or the American Quarter Horse
Charts will be considered in determining
eligibility regardless of recognized or
unrecognized races.
Horses that are eligible to start are not guaranteed
stabling on the premises. Nominating to stakes
and/or handicaps guarantee stabling on the
premises. Those nominated to the stakes
program will be given due consideration.
All horses must be tattooed before starting.
Non-tattooed foal papers turned into the racing
office will not receive preference dates until
proof of tattoo is provided.
Original foal papers MUST be in the Racing Office
in order to run. HORSES WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO RUN ON COPIES OR FAX COPIES
OF FOAL PAPERS.
By order of the Idaho State Racing Commission,
no horse will be allowed to start without the
Owner first obtaining a 2015 Owner’s license.
The Racing Office and its staff will provide every
facility for checking weight allowances and
eligibility. Owners and Trainers are reminded
that the responsibility in these matters is theirs
and not that of the Racing Office.
All horses traveling into the State of Idaho must
have a negative Coggins test for EIA within the
last 6 months. Persons hauling horses to the Les
Bois Park stable area must have the negative
Coggins test paper work in their possession for
presentation at the Racing Office.

a.m., or such time when all entries are taken.

ENTER TO RACE
There will be NO SCRATCH TIME. All entries are
“Enter to Race.” Naming of jockey must be done
upon entry. If no jockey is named at entry, one
will be named by stewards.
RACING SECRETARY’S OFFICE
The registration papers of all horses must be
deposited with Racing Secretary and show
bonafide ownership on the papers. After horses
have been registered listing the owners, no horse
will be transferred, unless claimed at this meeting, without a bill of sale from the registered
owners. Mares in foal and heel nerved horses
must be declared at time of registration.
Only the Trainer can check out registration
papers unless the Racing Secretary is provided
with signed, written permission or verbal
confirmation from the Trainer allowing an Owner
or an Owner’s authorized agent to do so.
Les Bois Park reserves the right to cancel any
Stakes or other race prior to the actual running
thereof, without liability except for the return of
all nomination and additional fees paid. Les Bois
Park reserves the right to divide the added
money in any Stakes which may be run in more
than one division.
Thoroughbred fillies, two years old shall be
allowed 3 pounds, and Thoroughbred fillies and
mares three years and Older shall be allowed 5
pounds. All allowances must be claimed or
waived at time of entry.

In all Stakes races, acceptances must be made
through the entry box by closing time of entries
for that stake. In all Stakes or Overnight
Handicaps, after weights and /or preference lists
have been posted, one must enter to be a starter.
No entry received except upon the conditions
that all disputes, claims and objections arising
out of the race or with respect to the interpretation
of the conditions of any race shall be decided by
the Board of Stewards, and their decision upon
all matters shall be final.
Trainers must have an apprentice jockey engaged
before claiming apprentice allowance. No apprentice
allowance shall be allowed in any Stakes race.
No trainer may enter or start more than two (2)
horses in any purse race or overnight event,
Stakes races excluded.
Should an Idaho Bred race not be filled at 9:00
AM, announcement will be made of the number
of horses in the race. Should the race not fill by
9:15 AM, it will then be opened with Idaho Bred
preferred at the draw.
No changes will be made to any race, nor will any
race be called off before 9:00 AM on any entry
day. Any substitute or extra race may be used at
the discretion of the Racing Secretary.
Winners or non-winners of a stated sum means
winner or non-winners of a single race of that
value awarded to the first horse.
At the discretion of the Board of Stewards, and
without notice, the entries of any person, or
acceptance of transfer of any entries, may
be refused.
The Stewards reserve the right to withdraw or
scratch any horse that in their opinion will not
qualify for the race in which it has been entered.

NON-PARTICIPATION: The association will reduce
the allotment of stalls to any trainer not meeting
minimum participation levels.
PREFERENCE DATE SYSTEM
All horses intended for racing at Les Bois Park
will be assigned a preference date. Dates will be
of three types:
O – DATE
O – Date can only be obtained if a horse’s foal
papers are submitted to the Racing Office at least
the day before (May 13th) the day when entries
are taken for the first day of the race meet.
E – DATE
E – Date will correspond to the date when a
horse’s foal papers are submitted to the Racing
Office if after the deadline for the 0 date.
R – DATE
R – Date will correspond to the day of a horse’s
recent race (excluding Stakes and Trials) at Les
Bois Park Preference dates will not supersede
the conditions of a race. Preference shall be
given in all races except Handicaps and Stakes.
The preference date on a horse that has drawn
into a race and has been scratched receives no
date and loses all previous dates. Preference
dates are good for any type of race or distance
with the exception of Stakes and Handicaps.
In all cases the best preference date shall
be preferred.
In cases where entry (E) and running (R) dates
are the same the horses with the entry date will
have be preferred.
Horses which are drawn into the body of a race
will receive a running date corresponding to the
date on which they are to run and will lose all
dates previously held.

Preference dates remain the same regardless of a
change in ownership or trainer.
Horses which establish dates will lose the
preference date if the papers are withdrawn from
the Racing Office or demonstrate intent to run
elsewhere by having their name appear in print
in any medium for the entries at another track
(excluding Stakes and Handicaps) and must
re-establish a date at this meeting. Should a
horse’s papers be withdrawn from the Racing
Office for just cause (i.e. Change of ownership,
corrections, tattooing…etc.) the horse may not
lose its date. The Racing Secretary may
determine the status of any preference
date established.
In all non-maiden overnight races winners shall
be preferred. Second choices of an entry, either
same owner or different owner, will be given
least preference than any other single entry,
regardless of date (with the exception of Stakes
or Handicaps), including divided races.
TRACK/BARN AREA RULES
Only Idaho licensed personnel, with approved
horses participating at this meeting, will be
permitted to use track facilities or enter the
stable area. All licensed personnel must show
proper credentials when asked to do so. Visitors
must be properly authorized before being
admitted to the stable area.
Only authorized cars, trucks and trailers will be
allowed in the stable area during training hours
or racing hours. Speed limit in the barn area –
10 MPH.
DUE TO INSURANCE REASONS, children must be
accompanied by an adult. Parents/Guardians are
absolutely responsible for all children’s actions.
Only shavings will be permitted for bedding.
You must contact the stall man before dumping
shavings.
Manure bunkers will be available at the end of
the shed rows. All horsemen will deposit manure
in the manure bunkers only. Wire, cans and trash
must be place into garbage cans. No parking in
front of the manure bunkers between the hours
0f 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Any bunkers blocked
during these hours will not have manure
removed.

All trainers will be responsible for the area
surrounding their stable. Weeds and trash shall
be removed from areas adjacent to stables.
Before making any changes to the barn area, you
must first obtain prior approval from the stall
man. Fire and Emergency vehicle access must be
available at all times.
Only licensed personnel will be allowed to handle
horses on the race track, paddock or stable area.
The Trainer is responsible for horses and proper
licensing of his personnel. Owners and Trainers
are required to see that grooms and attendants
are neatly dressed when in the paddock.
Pony Personnel are required to wear a white
shirt with a collar on race days.
Protective helmets are required at all times by
anyone using the race track. Only licensed
Trainers, Jockeys, Exercise Riders and Pony
People are allowed to be on horseback on the
race track. Protective vests are required to be
worn by all jockeys and exercise riders while on
the race track.
Horses are not allowed to gallop/pony the wrong
way on the race track. Pony horses must leave
adequate room for race horses galloping or
working close to the inside of the rail.
No loose dogs will be permitted in the barn area
at any time.
Owners or Trainers are required to deposit
jockey fees with the horsemen’s bookkeeper 2
hours prior to post time for the first race.
Smoking is not allowed in the shed row area,
tack rooms or feed rooms. Violators will be
subject to disciplinary actions and possible fines.

BOOKKEEPING NOTICE
Prior to starting a horse an owner must have a
deposit with horsemen’s bookkeeper that is the
amount required to cover all costs incurred in
starting that horse and a completed W9.
Prior to putting in a claim for a horse the owner
or their designated representative must insure
that all funds required with claiming a horse are
on deposit in said account.
Trainers and Owners are asked to update their
information with Horsemen’s Bookkeeper as
early as possible. No checks will be issued to
Trainers unless a release form is filled out and
signed by the Owner. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
WORK OUT RULES
All horses entering the track for workouts shall
be identified by name, distance to be worked,
and name of Trainer.
FAILURE to properly report this information to
the Clocker or Starter will result in forfeit of
work and possible referral to the Stewards and
Racing Secretary for disciplinary action.
Horses that have an official start must have one
(1) published work within 45 days of an entered
race. Horses that have had an official start, but
not within one (1) year of an entered race, must
have two (2) published works within 60 days of
an entered race. One of which must be from the
starting gate unless prior approval is obtained
from the Starter.
Horses wishing to race around the turn for the
first time must work around the turn and receive
approval from the Starter and the Clocker within
45 days of a race.
Prior to entry, first time starters must receive
two (2) gate approvals from the Starter. In
addition, first time starters must have two
published approved works within 60 days of a
race, one of which must be in company from the
starting gate. Horses must obtain minimal
accepted times to eligible to start.

GENERAL RULES FOR LES BOIS PARK STAKE RACES
In all stakes, entries must be made through the
entry box by the usual time of closing. No
refunds on drop outs. Any returned check will
automatically void the nomination.
All dates and times for nominating and
sustaining stated herein are absolute and no
extensions will be granted for any reason.
When nominating for stakes or handicaps by
mail, all nominations must be received in the
Racing Office. Any nominations that are postmarked after the nomination date will NOT BE
ACCEPTED. Deadline for nominations is the
posted time of closing of the racing office on the
date specified on the nomination blank.
NOTICE AND WARNING: Les Bois Park assumes
no responsibility, or liability for the identification
or tattooing of nominees to stakes races. Failure
to receive tattoo identification as required by
both rules and regulations of the Idaho State
Racing Commission and Les Bois Park, thereby
making the nominee ineligible for participation
in stakes trials or stakes, shall result in the
forfeiture to Les Bois Park of any and all fees
paid as a precondition to participating in
stakes races.
DISCLAIMER: Les Bois Park reserves the right to
postpone or cancel any stake race for any reason
it deems good and sufficient without liability
except for the return of nomination, sustaining
and entrance fees paid.

WORKERS COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Effective January 1, 1997, the Agriculture exemption
for Workers Compensation Insurance was lifted.
Therefore, all employees must be covered by
Workers Compensation Insurance. Certificates of
insurance must be provided to the Idaho State
Racing Commission upon request.
CLAIMING RACES
Horses must be claimed in accordance with full
registered ownership. If there are two or more
owners of a horse through which a claim is
made, all must be included in the claim and so
recorded thereon.
Any horse entered in a claiming race may be
claimed for its entered price by any owner
licensed by the Idaho State Racing Commission.
All claims must be deposited in the claim box
located in the paddock at least ten (10) minutes
before the post time displayed on the tote board
for the race There is a clock located in the
paddock area for validation of the time of
deposit, however the claim must be inside the
box no less than TEN (10) MINUTES TO POST.
The following rule replaces section 43.12:
subsection 12.14, of the Idaho Rules of
Horse Racing:
o horse which has been claimed out of a claiming race,

in which said horse was declared the official winner,
shall be eligible to start in any other claiming race for a
period of thirty (30) days, exclusive of the day it was
claimed for less than twenty-five percent (25%) more
than amount for which it was claimed. A horse which
has been claimed out of a claiming in which said horse
was not declared the official winner may be eligible to
start for any price desired by the claimant. No horse
which has been claimed out of a claiming race shall be
eligible to race at any other race at any other race
meeting in the state or elsewhere until the close of the
meeting where it was claimed unless its removal from
the grounds of such meeting is approved by the
stewards for good cause or is required by the
association where it was claimed.

Claimed Quarter Horses may race ONE TIME on
a transfer. The Race Office must be notified at
entry time of any horse that is going to run on
a transfer.
Claimed horses must re-establish their eligibility
of Starter Allowance and/or Starter Handicap
conditions. Claimed horses do not lose their
eligibility for the Idaho Claiming Stakes or other
paid in Stakes.
LASIX PROCEDURES FOR LES BOIS PARK
Registration with the Racing Office of all out of state
bleeders must be completed prior to the first entry of
such horse(s) or horse(s) may be scratched.
The horse(s) trainer or designated agent is
responsible to enter horses correctly indicating
the prescribed medication of the horse. Persons
entering will be asked if the horse is on Lasix,
and if horse is, whether it is the first time or not.
All haul in horses on Lasix will be required to be
on the grounds at least five (5) hours prior to the
post time of their race.
Horses on Lasix must be treated at least four (4)
hours prior to the listed post times in the official
race programs.
A bleeder horse shipped into Les Bois Park from
another racing jurisdiction must comply with
Idaho rules. Any horse on a bleeder list in
another racing jurisdiction may be placed on the
Idaho bleeder list provided a current certificate
from the jurisdiction where it was confirmed on
the bleeders list, or a letter from the horses
private Veterinarian, who is currently licensed by
that racing jurisdiction, is presented to the State
Veterinarian or the Commission Office, and it is
approved by the State Veterinarian.

CARDING OF RACES
Races, Substitutes or Extras will not necessarily
be carded in the order they appear in the
condition book.
Any substitute or extra may be used at the
discretion of the Racing Secretary.
DIVIDED RACES
When an overnight race is divided, it will be
considered as two different races for the
purposes of entries and the draw.
CHANGE OF EQUIPMENT
All equipment changes must be made at the time
of entry. Blinker changes should be noted on
your entry blank at the time of entry. All blinker
changes must be approved by the starter.
All bandages are considered a part of a horse’s
equipment. Should a horse start at Les Bois Park
and then start at another track in the same year,
he must wear the same equipment upon
returning unless approval of the changes has
been made by the Stewards and/or Paddock
Judge.
HAUL IN HORSES
The haul in barn is for HAUL IN HORSES ONLY!
All horses hauling in for workouts on race days
must vacate the haul-in barn by 12:00 noon, 2:00
p.m. on all other days. Failure to do so will result
in disciplinary action by the Stewards. In all
cases, racing horses have preference over
working horses in the haul in barn.
TRANSFER OF HORSES ON THE GROUNDS
The purchase or transfer of any horse on the
grounds, whether by private sale, claiming, or
public auction, does not guarantee the new
owner a stall for such horse unless approved by
the Racing Secretary. The Racing Secretary
reserves the right to allocate stalls to those
which fit the program, as well as those horses
which are sound. Horses sold to any person or
stable not registered for racing at this meeting
must be removed from the grounds unless
approved by the Racing Secretary.

KNIGHT TRANSPORTATION FUTURITY
1. This Futurity is open only to Quarter Horses registered
with the A.Q.H.A.
2. All races will be conducted under the rules of the
Idaho State Horse Racing Commission and the
American Quarter Horse Association.
3. Each time trial shall consist of not more than ten (10)
horses. Time trials shall be raced under the same
conditions as the finals. Only the ten fastest times will
be selected from the trials to participate in the finals.
There will be no “also eligible” list.
4. The decision of the Stewards shall be final in all
matters. All fees and payments are accepted only on
the condition that all persons nominating or starting a
horse in this event agree to abide by the decision of
the stewards and/or the Idaho State Racing
Commission.
5. Entries in the trials owned by the same owner or
trained by the same trainer will be split if possible.
6. Purse distribution for the Futurity shall pay ten (10)
monies as follows: 45-20-10-8-6-4-3-2-1-1 percent.
7. S
hould a horse be disqualified in the trials, horse shall
be given the time of the horse he is placed behind plus
.001 second.
8. In the event of a timer malfunction, the stewards will
revert to hand times to determine qualifiers.
9. Should the front gates fail to open in front of a horse
during the running of the trials or Stakes, the horse
shall be declared a non-starter and no liability will be
incurred beyond the return of all payments that have
been paid on such horse.
10. L
es Bois Park reserves the right to cancel or postpone
this Stakes race for any reason it deems good and
sufficient; and Les Bois Park agrees to return to the
horsemen all nomination and/or sustaining fees that
have been paid.
11. T
he signing of the nomination blank represents that
nominator is familiar with the rules and regulations
governing Quarter Horse Racing by the Idaho State
Racing Commission and Les Bois Park; and such
persons agree to comply with the decisions of the
Boards of Stewards and/or the Idaho State
Racing Commission.
