That I understand that the first day of racing may be as early as April 25, 2015 at Hastings Racecourse and will have all of my race horses older than two years old ready and available to race on that date for the Hastings Racecourse racing program. I understand that all stalls assigned to me not occupied with racing sound horses by April 25, 2015 may revert back to Hastings Entertainment Inc. for reallocation. 2. That I have been provided with and have read and fully understand and agree to the Ground Rules and Regulations of Hastings Entertainment Inc. including: a. That for 2015, Hastings Entertainment Inc. will require horsemen participating at the meeting to abide by an ‘Enter to Run’ rule. This rule eliminates the opportunity to scratch from the body of the race except due to sickness or unsoundness, which must be both diagnosed and certified by a licensed Veterinarian. Further entry of the horse will not be accepted by the racing office for a period of three (3) days inclusive of the date of scratch. SEE GROUND RULES and CONDITION BOOK for full policy. b. Upon arrival to the Hastings Grounds all horses in my care shall be properly vaccinated. This includes CURRENT (January 20, 2015) vaccinations for Flu and Rhino, A VALID COGGINS for horses arriving from outside British Columbia, and proof of Strangles vaccination within last Three (3) years. Vaccinations must be signed off by a licensed veterinarian. No horse will be allowed on the grounds without this certification. Certification forms will be made available online, in the racing office, or by fax. These forms must precede or accompany each horse prior to arrival. c. When stalls have been allocated, they are for the horses of the person to whom assigned. No owner or trainer shall be permitted to share stalls without permission. Trainers will not be allowed to loan stalls allocated to them to other trainers. Any violation of this regulation may result in the offending person being asked to remove his/her horses from the grounds. d. Stalls not used will revert back to the Association. The Association requests that trainers maintain a minimum of one start, per stall, per month, in order to keep their allotted number of stalls. Trainers that have been allotted stalls in British Columbia are expected to run their horses in British Columbia. e. Hastings Racecourse reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason including poor performance. f. All Owners must be licensed before their horse can start. Owner’s name must be included with each horse on this application. g. All stalls must be stripped before departing. Trainers failing to do so will be billed a cleaning fee of $50 per stall left unstripped. h. All applicants will cooperate with the Racing Office in the moving of horses for consolidation purposes of the backside in order to utilize the stabling facilities to the fullest extent. i. When changing a horse’s Equipment, Medication, Ownership, or Trainer, the change must be specified at the time of entry and on each entry thereafter, until said horse runs with that change. 3. Trainers making balanced stall applications will be given preference. 4. That this Contract is made with and shall inure to the benefit of Hastings Entertainment Inc. I, the Applicant herein, confirm that I have read all conditions contained in this Application and fully understand the conditions set out in this Application and by accepting stabling permanent or temporary on the Hastings Grounds fully agree to these rules as represented by my signature. For myself, if named as an Owner on this document, and as Authorized Agent for each and every Owner of the horses provided stabling accommodation by Hastings Entertainment Inc. as a result of this application.
