Nacogdoches, East Texas is home to Texas' largest azalea
garden - the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden.

As the interests of our membership changes, JCCAA must
also evolve. We hope to develop new activities that will
enhance the lifelong learning opportunities and personal
enrichment. The projects range from investing to advancing
in the work place to simply enjoying life. We hope that
through the Leisure Learning Club of JCCAA, our
members will be able to develop skills, meet new people,
form bonding and networking, share their collective
wisdom and interest, and continue their pursuit of
knowledge

Art/Craft Workshop –
Paper Cutting Art Drawn & cut by hand from single
sheets of paper.
Paper-cutting is one of the oldest and the most popular folk
arts in China. The Japanese Artist has developed modern
paper cutting later; the creations that capture the delicate
beauty of nature and the changing of the seasons.

Afternoon Tea is a fun filled and elegant gathering where
friends meet to create your party flavors such as making
tiny/delicate sandwiches, sweet pastries, cakes and
beverages. Come in with lovely summer dress and hat, join
in an informal fashion presentation, learn to make delicate
pastries, and have fun. Final plan and cost to be announced.
10/31/15 – Saturday - Halloween Night at Mystery
Café – Date is not confirmed.
Enjoy a superb gourmet meal and fast, live-action play in
murder mystery. Event includes Four (4) Acts play (2-2.5
Hours) and a three course meal. You can sit back and relax
or be one of the named characters and have an opportunity
to act with professionals during the dinner show.
$70/person (meal, show, tax and gratuity included).
12/05/15 - Saturday – Holiday Trip Christmas at
San Antonio – Lights, illumination shows, river walk
trotting, shopping and boat ride. A day trip or an overnight
trip yet to be decided. Final plan and cost to be announced.
