The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (graduate preferred) in music or music education and demonstrated excellence in directing choirs at the middle and high school levels. He or She will be an excellent musician, with knowledge of the developing voice, and an advocate for students and student learning. Specific duties include directing and leading the following: The 6th grade choirs 7th and 8th grade choir A coeducational upper division choir The upper division women’s choir The annual middle division musical (co-directing) The annual upper division musical (co-directing) ‘Mello Divas’, the upper division select a cappella group The ideal candidate will also have experience in teaching AP music theory, and be ready to contribute to the ethical and emotional well being of each student.
