We will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to give to children in our community. The Sharyland High School Art Club received 2nd place in the Annual Christmas Tree Forest Competition at the International Museum of Art and Science last Saturday. This year's theme was "Christmas in the Animal Kingdom" and Sharyland's submission was titled Migrating Birds Through the Rio Grande Citrus. The trees will be on display through January, so please go by and see our winning tree! IMAS is located at Bicentennial and Nolana in McAllen. FCCLA will be hosting its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, December 11th at 4 p.m. in room 131. All members should attend this meeting and bring in your Kops for Kids donations. Seniors interested in receiving a 10,000 renewable scholarship can apply to the 2015 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program. Deadline is January 8, 2015 Students interested in receiving a 2, 500 scholarship to assist with housing cost can apply to the Texas Student Housing Scholarship. Student must be attending college in Austin, College Station, or Denton, Texas. Application deadline is January 31, 2015.
