All entrants, except pianists and percussionists, must bring their own instrument on which to perform. Accompanists – entrants can use their own accompanist or use the official accompanist. A short warm up rehearsal will be allocated on the day. Backing tracks are NOT allowed Times – we will try to confirm a performance session as per your choice on the application form. However if a session time is popular we reserve the right to put you forward to the next time slot. Entries will be allocated strictly by date of receipt. Each session will be followed by an adjudication. We regret we are unable to change the time of performance once it has been allocated. GRAND FINAL DETAILS - 11 JULY 2015 The decision of the adjudicator is final. • • • Up to 7 musicians will be selected from the first rounds to perform in the Grand Final. Performance: a sonata, concerto movement, song programme, or similar type work to be accompanied by piano. Maximum performance time: 10 minutes Finalists will be required to rehearse in the venue on the day of the final PRIZES The winning finalist will receive £200, a certificate and a trophy to keep for a year and will be invited to take part in concerts during the year. Runners up in the final will each receive £50 and a certificate.
