Program - RIO 2015

Welcome Message
“ Dear Colleagues,
It is with immense pleasure to announce that the
IX Research Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO)
International Meeting, will be held at Intercontinental Semiramis Hotel, Cairo, Egypt on January
14th -16th, 2015.”
The RIO meeting has always been an outstanding annual event. The
theme of the 2015 meeting will be “A Global Focus on Ophthalmology
Today”. This theme reflects not just how we ophthalmologists perceive
our field, but also reflects the conference’s focus on all the aspects of that
specialty.
As always, the meeting will be held in Egypt, one of the largest centres
for Ophthalmology in the Middle-East, Africa and Asia; and specifically
in Cairo, the beautiful Capital of charms and mystique, with its unique
mix of Egyptian, Arabian, Islamic, Coptic and all-around international
culture, flavors and sounds.
Having lived in Cairo for almost my whole life, I can always assure you it
is a magnificent, vibrant, interesting, fun and magical city.
On behalf of RIO board and scientific committee, I wish you a stimulating & memorable congress.
Yours sincerely,
RIO President
Ahmed Sheir
