She stars on Showtime’s House of Lies, she’s the voice of Anna in the Disney’s blockbuster movie Frozen, and she just turned Veronica Mars, her fan-favorite TV show, into what’s sure to be a hit movie by raising over$5 million dollars on Kickstarter to finance the project. But, if that wasn’t enough, she is also leading the charge in the #NoKidsPolicy movement with her husband Dax Shepard. She and Dax have made it their mission to stop paparazzi photographers from taking pictures of children of celebrities without consent. The two have already won the support from several magazines, blog sites and television programs, who have pledged not to buy and publish these photos. “I expected to hit brick walls everywhere but I wasn’t sleeping well at night and had to do something,” says Kristen. “I signed up to be an actor but I also signed up to be a mom — and I take that much more seriously. This isn’t a celebrity issue, it’s a parent issue and no child should be stalked.” Recently, Kristen and Dax went on Access Hollywood to debate the issue, and have even made progress with the paparazzi. “I’ve been in New York and Dax said he came downstairs in the hotel with the baby and saw a paparazzi — who had his camera in hand — take the camera down when he saw the baby. For that to happen just once makes it worthwhile.” Another cause that is close to Kristen’s heart is People Assisting the Homeless or PATH, which works to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities throughout Southern California. She played “What’s That?” with Queen Latifah on the show and earned $3,000 for PATH!
