The Treble Clef--Students practice drawing treble clef
Pitch names--Teacher/students draw and name treble notes in order (E-F-G-A-B-C-D-E-F)
--Pitch name mnemonics
Syllables--Introduce, practice, sing solfege SYLLABLES with symbol and notation charts
(emphasize do-mi-so-la)
Signs--Introduce, practice, sing solfege syllables plus SIGNS with symbol and notation charts
Students sing major scale syllables with PIANO, students listen to pitch patterns and
say/write the syllables they hear., then sing them back.
Students take turns making up their own solfege patterns
Rhythm/Syllables—quarter, half notes
