2015 Chamber Chairman
Bill Coleman
Bill Coleman, owner of Team Radio
Marketing Group, will be the 2015 Chamber
Chair. Bill moved to Ponca City in 1979 at
the age of 18 to help his father, Lewis
Coleman put KPNC on the air. It went on
the air June 5th, 1979. Bill was the morning
disc jockey from 1979-1988. His father sold
the station in 1983, but Bill continued on
with the new owners doing mornings on air
and sales. Then from 1988 - 1991 Bill
worked for a radio station in Sherman,
Texas. In 1991 Bill returned to Ponca City as
General Manager of KPNC, hired by owner,
Ken Greenwood. Over the next 10 years they
purchased 4 more radio stations including
KLOR in Ponca City and KOKB in Blackwell.
In 2004 Bill purchased all the interests in
Team Radio from the partners and became
sole owner of the company.
Bill was
chairman of the Oklahoma Association of
Broadcasters in 2003. Currently he serves
on the board of the National Association of
Broadcasters in Washington D.C.,
representing member stations in
Oklahoma and North Texas. He is a member
of Woodlands Christian Church. Bill is
married to Helen, a financial planner with
Transamerica Financial. They have 3
children, including Haley who attends East
Middle School.

The 121st Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet celebrating Ponca City and the work of our
Chamber of Commerce will be held on Thursday, January 29th, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. in the Phillips 66
Atrium. RCB Bank will host a reception from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. for all banquet ticket holders at their
downtown location. This year’s banquet will feature several special award presentations, great food
and awesome fellowship. You don’t want to miss the Chamber banquet! Linda Brown, past Chamber
Chair, will be the master of ceremonies for the evening. Barry Bickle will be recognized for his
leadership as Chair of the Board for 2014. Bill Coleman will say a few words as he takes over as the
2015 Chair of the Board. The meal will be prepared by Phillips 66 Executive Chef, Danny Perkins.
Ticket price is $40 per person and invitations have been mailed. If you would like to make your
reservations for the banquet, please phone the Chamber office at 765-4400 and we will add you to
our guest list. We do have limited seating for the banquet and we were sold out last year.

Staples was established in Ponca City in 1998. They are able to play a
vital role in community recycling by providing an outlet to recycle paper, ink
& toner cartridges, printers, computers and batteries. They provide a wide
variety of goods and services such as general office supplies, technology and
computer repair and customer printing. They pride themselves on customer
service and being able to provide the best service available to small and large
businesses.

Secretary Ridley to Speak in Ponca City
The Ponca Politics Committee will host Oklahoma Transportation
Secretary, Gary Ridley, for a public forum on Friday, January 23 at City Hall
in the City Commission Chambers starting at 12 noon. The public is invited
to attend this event. Secretary Ridley will also bring Director Mike Patterson.
They will speak on transportation issues in northern Oklahoma and across
our great state.
