INFORMATION FOR NEW CANDIDATES TO THE DOUBLE CERTIFICATE ACHIEVEMENT, PROCESS 2015 The Dental School started activities in 1975 and today it is considered as one of the best in the country, it has obtained the accreditation of the National Dentistry Board, (CONAEDO) and in 2002 obtains the recognition of the Dental Board in California. Through this process the graduates obtain a license to work in the State of California, once all the national and state legal requirements are fulfilled as it expressed in the legal terms. Since May 2012, our dental Faculty obtained the certification for the term 20122019. The main objective of the certified course by the Dental Board of California is to offer the option another study plan in case your goal is to work as a Dentist in the state of California once you have achieved all the dental programs offered at Universidad De La Salle Bajio. This program consists in 10 semesters, which means 5 years of didactic classes, clinics, which are taught in Spanish which makes it necessary for the candidates to be fluent in reading, listening understanding of the Spanish language. Many of our text books, magazines, research material and conferences are in English. To be able to achieve the Certificate in Dental Surgeon and the Diploma endorsed by California, it is compulsory to complete the 5 year program, a year of Professional Social Service, to obtain the certificate of release of this Social Service and to obtain the degree under the options regulated by Universidad De La Salle Bajio. To obtain the Dental License and be able to work in the state of California, it is a must to sit the National Board Part I and II, apart from the exams in L aw and Ethics, as well as the WREB and any other requirement imposed at the time of graduation by the California Dental Board. Two letters of recommendation preferably from two Dentists who are established in California. (Documents are accepted from January to October each year) Candidates will have to come to Campus Campestre on: Thursday 22nd, and Friday 23rd in January 2015 to start out with the enrollment process. We suggest you to arrive to the city on the previous Wednesday since the first exam I applied at 9 AM. o The Dental School applies the candidates the Spanish, general Knowledge in physics, chemistry, math, biology and the physic metric test. o An interview is held with the candidate and the Admission Committee of the Dental School, it is on the same day the knowledge exams are applied.  A payment of $250- (two hundred and fifty US Dollars) is made at the cashier found on the lower level of Rectory Tower.  o NOTE: (PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO BE CHANGED) the results will be given at the Head Offices of the Dentistry Faculty 60 labor days after the beginning of the admission process and will be given through a letter signed by the Dean’s Office and the Vice – Rector.
