THE GIFT OF SIGHT PROGRAM , created by Len Crafters, provides free vision care and
eyewear to underprivileged individuals. Project Hope is listed with the service and low-income
Project Hope participants can be referred by either Jana or Joyce for the program.
You can also donate to this program by dropping off your old prescription glasses or non prescription sunglasses at a Lens Crafters in the area.
COMMUNITY DENTAL PROGRAMS OF COLLIN COUNTY
Provides primary dental care; examinations, cleaning, restorations and extractions for low income
children, ages 1-20, who qualify for the National School Lunch Program or Medicaid. Plano clinic
sees low income senior citizens age 55+

DENTAL HYGIENE CLINIC - Collin Community College McKinney
Located on the first floor in the A wing of the college's Central Park Campus in
McKinney, the Dental Hygiene Center houses a clinic, rec eption room, radiology
darkroom and laboratory. Through expert faculty, a fully equipped laboratory and
clinical facility, the Dental Hygiene Center creates an environment for students to
gain professional experience and provides quality dental hygiene se rvices to
community members, college employees and students. .

Appointments are required to receive dental hygiene care. Approximately
two and one half hours should be allowed for each appointment. Multiple
appointments will be needed for adults. Patients should be prepared to pay
at their first appointment with cash or a personal check. Fees are set for
each procedure, regardless of the number of appointments required to
complete each procedure. Clinic hours will vary each semester. Please call the

Immunizations
Vaccines are administered to both children and adults. Adult immunizations are given at our main
office in McKinney. Children immunizations are given at our main office as well as outreach clinics in
Frisco and Plano.
Tuberculosis Clinic
Our TB Clinic offers testing and X -ray referral services to patients who have been exposed or are at risk of being exposed to the TB germ. We also offer treatmen t services to persons who have had a
positive reaction to TB and need an evaluation for medication.
STD/HIV Clinic
Our clinic provides comprehensive services for the screening, c ounseling, and treatment of sexually
transmitted diseases. We strive to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in order to honor
patients' rights to privacy.
Breast Cancer Services
Under the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation grant, the Collin County Health Care Breast
Cancer Services provides annual screenings and treatment referrals to low -income, uninsured Collin
County female residents aged 40 years or older.

WIC is a special supplemental food program that provides nutrition education and food vouchers for
qualifying children and infants, as well as pregnant, breastfeeding, and post -partum women.
Collin County Indigent Program

This program provides health care services to indigent citizens of Collin County who have a
household income of less than 100% of the federal poverty level. Proof of income and resource
standard for determining eligibility are required. Contact our main office number listed above for
more information. Citizens who qualify for the indigent program may also receive care at any area

Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

HIV testing - PPNT, Inc. offers HIV testing at all family clinic sites. We offer two
methods of testing: either taking a blood sample (needlestick) or orally, using
antibodies from the gum and cheek. Some sites offer free HIV testing through a grant
from the Texas Department of Health.

Cancer screening Pap smears

Mammography for income-eligible women - PPNT, Inc., in partnership with the local
Komen affiliates and the BCCCP program at the Texas Department of Health, offers
free mammography services to low -income women. There are age and income
restrictions. Please call the clinic for more information.

Screening for high blood pressure and diabetes

Colposcopy (diagnosis of abnormal cervical cells that can lead to cancer)

Cryotherapy/LEEP (treatment of abnormal cervical cells)


Pregnancy testing - PPNT, Inc. offers pregnancy testing at all of the family planning
clinics. This can be done without an appointment. Results are available while you wait.
We recommend that you wait at least two weeks after intercourse before testing.

Hormone replacement for mid-life women - PPNT, Inc. offers a variety of hormone
replacement therapy options at all the family plann ing clinics. PPNT requires a
complete pelvic exam within the past twelve months in order to obtain this prescribed
medication.
