• The AP Course Ledger lists secondary school courses
offered worldwide that are authorized to include the AP®
designation when listed on students' transcripts.
• These courses were reviewed by the Advanced
Placement Program® (AP) as part of the AP Course
Audit for the academic years listed on the school's
"Authorized AP Courses" page.
• There are currently only 4 Ottawa schools with courses
approved on the ledger. Lisgar is one of these schools.

AP Capstone
• AP Capstone is an innovative diploma program that provides
students with an opportunity to learn and practice the core
academic skills necessary for successful university completion
• AP Seminar, Grade 11 and AP Research, Grade 12
• Designed to complement and enhance the in-depth, disciplinespecific study provided through AP courses
• Lisgar is the only school in the Ottawa region that has been
approved by the College Board to offer the AP Capstone

The Gifted Program at Lisgar
• Lisgar’s Gifted Program is a continuation of
the OCDSB program for intellectually-gifted
students
Program Differentiation
• Program of study is similar to the core
curriculum but it is differentiated in a
manner that is appropriate to the nature of
the subject
• Aim: to help students with a high level of
“general intellectual ability” to reach their
potential
