Each person may request up to 10 intentions for ONE person or ONE family. The priest, by Canon Law, cannot celebrate multiple intentions for one Mass. If you would like to request your intentions, please do so as soon as possible; either in writing, and place in the collection or mail it to the Parish Office. Please indicate your intentions and suggested dates on your written request. The Annual St. Raymond’s Night of the Races It’s time again for the Annual St. Raymond’s Night of the Races being held Friday, February 6, 2015. Doors open at 6 PM and races start at 7 PM. We are in need of race sponsors and volunteers for that evening. If you are able help please contact Rich Sparks at 724-455-2654. Tickets will be available for sale after the Masses. The sixth grade religious education class is sponsoring another Confirmation Service Project for 2015. They are collecting socks (any size), toothpaste, and toothbrushes for our Community Food Bank. You may place your items on the tree in the hall near Cel Tidwell’s classroom. The project will be active until Feb. 22. A third service project will begin after that date. The projects are designed to help our community and fulfill service hour obligations for the children. Words Of Thanks ... A special thank you to all who contributed gloves, hats and mittens for the first service project. Cel Tidwell delivered the clothing to the food bank. Everyone was delighted and happy with the generosity and support of the Confirmation class and St. Raymond. Thanks to Cel for the delivery. St. Raymond of the Mountains Church will be celebrating two major events in the future: a 50 Anniversary Dedication of the church in September 2016 and the 100th Anniversary of the Parish in 2019 We will start planning for the September 2016 Anniversary Event in January 2015. Both events will require time and commitment to plan a celebration. We are looking for individuals who will are willing to serve on a committee for the 2016 Anniversary event. Catholic Charities, Comprehensive Information and Referral, of the Diocese of Greensburg offers a caring and confidential response to a caller in need by providing comprehensive information and referral. This service provides connections to suitable resources and assistance with problem-solving to develop solutions with attainable goals toward self-sufficiency for callers in need. The staff are information and referral specialists who help families in the Diocese’s four-county area. They collaborate with local churches, social service agencies, community and religious organizations and other helping agencies in Armstrong, Fayette, Indiana and Westmoreland counties. Catholic Charities assists with electric, gas, water, sewage, home heating fuel and cooking fuel. They work with United Way Working Poor Funds to help with housing support.
