What could a modern manufacturing strategy do for you, and how do you make it happen?
Come learn in the Manufacturing Solution Area of the Oracle Value Chain Summit 2015,
the top Oracle Manufacturing and Supply Chain customer event of the year.
Manufacturing Solution Area

Includes three session tracks, workshops and solution demonstrations:
• Track: E-Business Suite Discrete Manufacturing
Oracle Discrete Manufacturing helps factories of all sizes and in all industries to
improve the management of information in the entire production cycle, from
R&D to design through work-in-process cost and quality management. Flexible
production can be achieved with mixed mode manufacturing, flow (lean), buildto-order (ETO/CTO) and project-based and other complex manufacturing
modalities.
• Track: E-Business Suite Process Manufacturing
Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) enables firms to better manage batch
production involving variable ingredients, scalable recipes and flexible routings
to satisfy unique specifications found in chemicals, food and beverage, life
sciences, pharmaceutical and natural resources. OPM allows full end-to-end lot
traceability with embedded quality and multiple cost methods that provide
complete visibility of plant operations.
• Track: JD Edwards Manufacturing
Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Manufacturing and Engineering helps
manufacturers—especially those that operate within a mixed-mode
manufacturing environment—develop, manufacture, and distribute products in
a timely fashion; use efficient processes that optimize resources; and satisfy
customer expectations about quality, price and delivery.
• Oracle E-Business Suite Manufacturing Customer Advisory Board
Held after the conference on Thursday, January 29, the EBS Manufacturing CAB
is a focused group of customer representatives with expertise and vision in
Discrete or Process Manufacturing who will meet with the EBS Manufacturing
team to provide strategic input on product direction. The CAB provides
collaborative work sessions between the manufacturing team and key
customers to articulate/share the strategic vision for their company as it
pertains to the business process enabled by the manufacturing products within
the E-Business Suite. Contact [email protected] to register.

today with a coexistance strategy with their in-house or third party
mission critical applications in manufacturing.
Oracle is building a complete end-to-end solution for manufacturing and
materials management. The presentation gives you a preview of key
capabilities that will be delivered as an integrated cloud solution for
manufacturing companies. The session will highlight Oracle's new
solution that will support the complete product lifecycle from product

Oracle Outsourced
Manufacturing for
Discrete Industries
Oracle Outsourced Manufacturing for Discrete Industries enables
manufacturers to track almost all aspects of the outsourced manufacturing
business with contract manufacturers. By having better visibility into the
outsourced processes, manufactures can more proactively mitigate their
risks in this area. A global medical device manufacturer and Rolta, an
Oracle Platinum Partner, will co-present, discussing the results of a proof
of concept implementation of Release 12.1.3 of the Outsourced
Manufacturing application. Highlights will include benefits and
functionality of the new application and detail the implementation itself.
They'll share several tips, tricks, and best practices discovered during the

been modeled within a CPG organization on a global JD Edwards (JDE)
platform. There, they interact and generate a single number forecast
that is utilized both operationally on a weekly basis and for the S&OP

Re-engineering
Story
Compass Minerals will detail their board approval process for a
transformational business process re-engineering effort. The approval
required a distinct and relevant business case justification supported by
the cross-pillar business-segment leadership. Lessons learned will be
highlighted. Compass Minerals needed vastly improved processes and
systems to more effectively manage operations and achieve strategic
objectives. Previous attempts at process and system improvement
focused on incremental change, did not drive cross-functional
collaboration and lacked the strong leadership conviction necessary to
change fundamental business rules. Compass needed to implement
best practice processes supported by leading Oracle systems, including
a reimplementation of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and implementation
of value chain products for planning and transportation
