Washington, DC – The Podesta Group announced Tuesday that Josh Lahey, tested public relations and
advertising strategist, has joined the firm’s top-ranked PR practice as a principal.

At Podesta Group, Lahey joins a growing team of acclaimed digital, creative and strategic

Lahey has been on the frontlines of some of the most high-profile political and advocacy campaigns of
the past two decades. He brings 15 years of experience successfully leading client engagements on
earned and paid media strategy, campaign design, messaging, content development, and delivering
results on the campaign trail for top national political candidates.
Formerly Executive Vice President and Director of Advertising at McBee Strategic and Managing Director
at Glover Park Group, Lahey has been responsible for directing large-scale, integrated advocacy,
advertising and media buying campaigns as a strategic adviser for global corporations and high-profile
associations, with a focus on energy, transportation, health care and financial services issues. His work
includes efforts on behalf of America’s Natural Gas Alliance, French rail giant SNCF and the Regional
Airline Association, as well as Gilead Sciences and PhRMA.
Previously, Lahey was a founding partner of Democratic opposition research firm, Ginsberg-Lahey. He
also spent a decade working in Democratic politics, serving as an adviser on the Gore for President
campaign, and helped spearhead operations in the Democratic National Convention’s speechwriting
department during the 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 conventions.
Lahey graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and resides in Washington, DC with his wife Amy
Rosenbaum and their three children.
