ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTIONS 14(1) AND 16(1)
THE BOLTON (STATION ROAD, BLACKROD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.9)
ORDER 2015
The Borough Council of Bolton intends to make an Order not less than seven days from the
date of this Notice. The effect of this Order, which will be operative from 2 February 2015,
will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, standing, waiting, loading or
unloading or otherwise remaining at rest in Station Road, from 50 metres east of Station
Approach Road for a distance of 150 metres in a westerly direction. Alternative route for
vehicles will be A6 Blackrod Bypass, Manchester Road, De Havilland Way, Chorley New
Road, Station Road.
The closure is necessary due to rail bridge reconstruction works which will last for
approximately 15 weeks. The Order will cease to have effect 18 months from its operative
date or on completion of the works whichever is first.
